« good stuff »
Published on 07/10/10 at 09:58purchased for direct recording of guitar, bass and electronic drums in midi with Ableton Live, which runs with a 2GHz Core 2 Duo and 4 GB of ram in seven 32-bit (4 GB useless until 32-bit I know)
UTILIZATION
asio driver is stable in the recording but I do not know why you need to reinstall all the time, a restart on 2 PC's over there, too sucks. So I use Asio 4 All, and I'm not bored.
if the hardware level, it's solid, nickel knobs, easy to use, are transparent preamp (I did not experience the high end), it lacks nothing in that I use . Latency level, closing all programs and priority setting in Live, I'm less than 10ms (8 I think), but beware I can not tell you if it happens with lots of plug-in and 50 runs open, this n is not that I'm using.
GETTING STARTED
If one puts aside the problem of driver, it's plug and play. Sorry but the manual I remember if I read it ...
OVERALL OPINION
I use it for quite some months now and I think continue. For the price it's very good stuff, solid, comprehensive, transparent. There is this driver problem, but I do not know whether to blame the Presonus or Microsoft, in all cases with Asio 4 All is settled.
