For how long have you been using it?
1 year.

Did you try many other models before getting this one?
I tried the East West Bosendorfer, it does not suit me. A real machine side gas cpu and more must love the sound of a Bosendorfer. So I tried the Akoustik Piano Native, not bad is already closer to a Steinway, but again the sound is not terrible, especially in terms of grades. I got tired and took the Synthogy Ivory. It is true that the installation does not like that, but ultimately we're happy. That day and night I think ...

What thing do you like most/least about it?
the +: With a processor that does more than 2 GHz and at least 2 G of Ram, the plug works well. While it is CPU intensive but we can change the settings of his game and to limit its ram requirements. The software is adaptable.
Closing my eyes I think it is a real Steinway's side, he is bluffing.

the -: Live, it must sound equalizer because according to the acoustics of the places where we play the sound is not the same. Indeed, with a simple digital piano yamaha type P90, the sound comes straight one is sure that there is no problem to the mix. By the cons in my opinion Synthogy equalizer must be before going in front, it is less easy to mix I think.
It must be equipped with a good keyboard for the ride. As this plug has about 10 layers of dynamics, we need a keyboard equipped with hammers, Graded Hammer style in order to draw all the nuances. I have a Yamaha P60 - an antiquity - and at times the notes are more or less dynamic. I can not adjust the velocity on my keyboard, so you must use - and all the forums say - good or very good digital piano sound but not to touch. Avoid master keyboard to control this plug, you need a keyboard style CP33/CP300 YAMAHA KAWAI MP4/MP5/MP9000/MP9500 or even DOEPFER (German keyboard distributed among pro MESI)

What is your opinion about the value for the price?
It is a good product worth its price.

Knowing what you know now, would you make the same choice? ...
Not sure, because I just bought the Garritan Steinway Basic - not the pro version - and I am pleasantly surprised. With this plug my computer works fine, do not crash, and he really has a nice color. I guess the pro version to be great. I already tried to live and the sound is simply better than a digital piano.

Conclusion
The Synthogy is fine but it has its flaws (intensive ram, cpu, not easy to install, you must edit the live sound). The Garritan seems to be the only alternative right now. The basic version costs 60 € which amply satisfies me and change me sound yamaha ...!
