Installing LM4 is no problem, it starts the install cd and is alone in cubase.
I have not encountered large inconsistency, the only concern is that that can appear when using Windows XP, you must download an update file on the site of Steinberg (blackjack) to install of LM4.
The configuration is very easy LM4, LM4 is active in the register of VST instruments (in cubase) and in the inspector you select the midi track output LM4. Then the velocity settings and others has the appreciation of each.
SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE
I turned LM4 with Cubase 5.0 on a 1.3GHz PC with 512 MB RAM with a sound card Hoontech ADDA 2000.
No problems with stability or performance with this config, however Defois use with 4 or 5 vsti same time.
OVERALL OPINION
The big point is that LM4 can CRER own drumkits but the manipulation is the somewhat complex to understand at first, but you can download the drumkit editor to the website of Steinberg (blackjack), the sound quality LM4 of bluffing can be especially with the sounds "Wizzo" even if it's still a typ OITE rhythms.
LM4 I mainly use for my guitar compositions because I am part of a group consisting of a drummer but LM4 allows me to place my components and record demos which I then file the group to bring their work and personal touch .
The use of LM4 still requires good knowledge in battery for editing MIDI tracks.
Overall LM4 is a good investment for those who want work with drum parts without investing in a drum machine or a hardware sound module much more expensive, the sound is the most correct and of course always room for improvement in the mix.
