Thread Audio clips changing speed? cep2 questions

i have cool edit pro2, and ive been having this problem of when i make a loop into a wav file on fruity loops, and i bring it into cool edit pro2, when i try to multitrack it, the clip changes speed and doesnt line up with other sound files that should be in the same time.

also, i must have changed some setting, i dont know which one though. instead of starting playing where i have the cursor, or only playing the selected area, it always starts playing at the beginning of the screen.

any help is appriciated. thanks
