Ethnic Drum Ensembles features two Kits and Loops libraries, as well as a bundle with both collections.
Each library features samples of 6 percussion ensembles played by 7 players simultaneously, with up to 12 different percussions.
The GUI for the full version of Kontakt 5.3 gives you access to different sound shaping options, such as 4 master effects (delay, modulation, overdrive and convolution reverb) with multiple parameters (amount, rate, size and depth). You’ll also find a Punish knob that combines saturation, distortion and compression for a more aggressive sounds, and a Twist knob that modulation the shape of the sound.
Heavyocity also included a Loop Mutator that allows for recomposing the 375 loops from the dedicated collection: you can control the number of steps, time divisions, key signature, step length, velocity or randomise the program. Each preset features 8 patterns that can be customized and linked to create complex grooves and up to 128-step sequences, or rhythmic loops.
Last, the Advanced Trigger FX offers effects that can be enabled in real time, with adjustable in/out speed, modulation via a 32-step sequencer, and each of the 5 Trigger FX can be triggered via MIDI.
Ethnic Drum Ensembles – Loops features 1.55GB of uncompressed content, with more than 375 loops and 466 loop presets. This library is available for $89.
Ethnic Drum Ensembles – Kits includes the 6 ensembles, with 28 presets in a 1.83GB library, also available for $89. Note that this version features a Stage display for stereo placement.
