StormDrum 3 is, like the first two volumes, produced by Nick Phoenix in partnership with Mickey Hart (The Grateful Dead), Greg Ellis (Beck), Chalo Eduardo (Santana) and Remo, and features 90GB of percussion sounds from the Hart’s and Remo’s private collections of instruments.
You’ll find large instruments, gongs, clocks, cymbals, bells, shakers, taikos, chromatically tuned wooden resonator instruments, bongos, tablas, tambourines and more.
You can also control 5 microphone positions for each instrument.
StormDrum 3 will include EastWest latest sampler version, PLAY 4, a new edition that will be compatible with Pro Tools 10 and 11 (AAX format), will feature a time stretch function for the loops, a new Mixer page (with sub-channel for the mic positions), among other new features.
Last, a new effect section with an update reverb and Solid State Logic effects (EQ, channel strip, transient shaper and the famous stereo bus compressor). Users of the previous PLAY version can get the effects via an optional upgrade, SD3 buyers will have the effects for free.
StormDrum 3 will be available for 295€ / $395 at www.soundsonline.com/SD3. You can pre-order it now and get the new effects for your current PLAY version.
