The keyboard has five octaves, no aftertouch. It is placed in the category of Worstation from Yamaha, but I would say it is an arranger / keyboards. The rhythm section is very nice, with good reason, Aveve four variations, one fill'in, start a sync, but no intro or ending or possibility to mute or attenuate the parties. for lovers of techno .. of good style are present
Connector can be found in a MIDI in and out, sustain, release D / G, USB TO HOST and TO DEVICE, headphone .. For those who are from the south, I connect a Korg Tr, it plays its sounds but in tune with his ARPEGIO, but not completely control another keyboard.
The sounds are nice for this class of instruments .. they come adorned the reason .... they posseceur of X number of PSR in the past .. I would say not all .... but went to the catgérie of Brass. Brass type .. 80 ... and you will find the famous jump Van Hallen ... with the Dual, double the sounds or stacked in another of the same grain .. and moved ca ... A polyphony of 32 notes .. sometimes just when using the arpégion and plating of several notes.

UTILIZATION

The config is simple .. yamaha is, the menus are scrolling, the screen clear and bright (adjustable) .. one missing entry with a numeric keypad would have had much to capture live sound / style, rather that scroll the entire class.
The record is clear, as Yamaha, but aprfois could be a bit pushed for a "Workstation" ... it still feels the PSR

SOUNDS

The sounds I conviennt for those j'enveux do (From the jar, electro ...) but the pianos are nice too, we find the mega voices Yamaha dear .. those who make sounds very realistic.

I think the average expression of the keyboard, but possessing a good and Tr korg roland G70, I will not compare.

OVERALL OPINION

I have since 4 days .. and have been around already ... It's not a synth .. at least for me.
I like the knobs (not assignable) to modify the sounds rhythmic arrangement .... .. some synth sounds coupled with appégio (more than 120 available). At the very least, the side and I come back again PSR of entry-level Yamaha, either in menus or effects.
For those who are of my choice on this keyboard, a blow of "head" or "heart" to listen I do not know yet ... I'm in my 27th keyboard for 8 years ... so .. .. I know which to choose.
The price / quality ratio is still well placed in the range, Ht 530 euros ... it is very plastic and very lightweight. I do not think there's any other keyboard, can the Juno D, or X-50 Korg on occasion ... but that's not the same world and I think the same utlité. For those who want sounds nice the "Reason", I think it's a good chosen with over 500 presets (and its ability to save settings or perfomances 8 x 8 banks). To complete a set ... it's only as a keyboard, I doubt ...)
I do not know if I would do this choice ..... I do not know if I'll keep it or sell it ... ...
