Small effects processor, which does not look at first, but under its rather austere appearance quickly proves indispensable!
The 504 offers much sound arrangements, both for owners of electro acoustic for those who play electric and acoustic wish to simulate (2 banks are also reserved for the latter).
The 504 has 6 banks of 4 effects, all opened and edited to fit.
The A / D conversion is 16 bit, which is more than enough to ensure excellent audio quality.
However, sampling is done at 35 kHz ... we would have hoped the 48 kHz, but it's really a detail!
The connection is simple but sufficient: two low-impedance inputs (electro acoustic) and high impedance (electric), an output amplifier (or headphones, but in this case, provide an ID or anything like qque)
UTILIZATION
The 504 has 4 buttons to edit and modify the effects, and two pedals to switch from one effect to another. Simple but sufficient.
The handling is very simple (15 minutes by my watch!) And even allows a quick editing in the scene condition.
The manual is clear and simple, but failing to get the 504, you must satisfy the English manual, which is the site of ZOOM.
SOUND QUALITY
Amazed ... is really the word. This little toy, despite its apparent simplicity, actually reveals excellent sound quality. It can also serve the person seeking the effects very synthetic as that just want to improve the sound of his instrument (which is my case).
I only use little effect, I customized:
- A rhythmic sound like folk, very realistic, with a bit of reverb
- A sound with a resonant crystal, for solos and arpeggios to sound
- A muffled, a bit saturated for some intros
Note that the 504 also has a very good 12-string simulator.
OVERALL OPINION
A tool that quickly becomes essential! initially we do not think we will use it on a few pieces to keep most of the time the original sound of his instrument, and quickly, we see that it does not actually used at all of the bypass function, both realism and sound quality are waiting for you!
