DK75 « Amazing !!!!!!! »
Published on 11/05/10 at 14:59I'm already working on ableton live and 8 on an electro house style. I wanted to buy a compact monitor, because my room is 20 m2, and without a consequent budget. I am not misinformed on the net, newspaper, magazine ,.... and I ended up cracking on these beautiful Tannoy 501a!
My setup is as follows: macbook 2.53 ghz intel core2duo 4GB, sound card or audio 4 dj M Audio Fast Track Pro, Ableton Live 8.
The 501 is already very well packed in cartons, well protected, I find them aesthetically réussies.Elles are not too heavy 5.7 kilograms and take up little space.
SOUNDS
Not being a professional home studio I will not venture to give you a detailed specifications for the frequency dispersion ,.....
Just tell you that the event is located at what makes them closer to the wall without glue of course.
Rendering the sound is impressive for such small monitors, the bass is well balanced and power is remarkable, more than enough for my space!
OVERALL OPINION
I've had 3 days and admit that they impress me every day.
I go into the world's 11th to listen to different models, besides, I highly recommend this place because one little test on the spot with his prope cd without being disturbed and it was quite rare;
I hesitated over krk, Mackie, and of course the focal but not for my budget, and finally I took those 501 that really surprised me.
What I like most is the power / audio format and quality, I rediscovered music ..!
The little less may be the volume control on the back that is not "notched".
The quality / price is more than okay, nothing to say for a pair less than 300 euros yes!
