For technical, they are equivalent on a lot of models. So it's not where it made the difference. Let's just say that nothing was missing.

It was to assemble the film (especially documentary but fiction). It was therefore necessary that they be shielded so as not to interfere with computer screens, which is the case. Note, the presence of a low-cut to fit the installation.

Note: vent on the front. We can therefore place them near a wall in a small space without increasing the bass. So perfect for a home studio or editing room in a small room.

They are connected in output from Final Cut Pro on a scope which is the DV D / A converter for sound output (while waiting to equip myself with a sound card most appropriate kind Mbox with Protools LE)

SOUNDS

Neutral, probably for the mids and treble. The bass is more discreet.

The stereo image is accurate, no worries.

Impeccable clarity and precision. Very good rendering of mediums and highs. They allow me to clean up the sound impeccably.

Dynamic: no problem, there is relief

They are unflattering, with its rather cold, probably due to the lack of bass. But this formidable listening allows a specific job, and that's what I need. So for the post-production, they are very good.

OVERALL OPINION

Used for a year.

+: The sound accurate, the return of midrange and treble, good stereo and have power in reserve

-: Can sound a bit cold, see metal. But that does not interfere with my work, so ... Some say they do not have enough bass, but again, it does not bother me too much, I'm more interested in midrange and treble.

Other models tested: the Genelec 1029A and 1030A used in sound editing for many providers. Nothing to say about these speakers, except the price too high.

In fact, it was recommended to me by a sound engineer who has a pair.
Purchased in August 2005 to € 130 a piece on discount website. Unbeatable value for money (accuracy and power).

Choose to repeat the same price (130 € each). Now it's € 190, then it should listen to the competition (Prodipe 5 and 8, M-Audio BX5a and 8a, Fostex PM-1, Yamaha HS50M and 80M), the time ... But anyway, c is a very good choice.
