What technical specifications motivated your choice?
The costs the shop, I could compare them on a wall of speakers with a cd that I know up and down.
And I must say that I test the speakers of course very expensive (Adam, Genelec, Dynaudio etc ...) and every time I board just after speakers on matching my price range.
And for testing KRK, Fostex, M Audio, etc ... MSP5 I must say that there were only one of which was actually the road every time.
For what purpose?
I use them in the Home Studio!
What amp / What configuration? ...
It has the advantage of being pramplifier, which quickly 300euros with an amp ...
They are setup with a Pro Tools / Digi002 Rack.
SOUNDS
The curve frequency drives is it neutral enough?
Then for rcapitulatif, the curve goes from 42 to 20,000 Hz
Several points are important:
First positioning, in fact the event is placed the rear of the enclosure by consquent you really optimal conditions to which it is located 1.50m from the wall / corner. Otherwise there is a nice hill in the low frequencies.
Unfortunately, I have not the luxury of making my backyard.
Fortunately the builder think everything is available to mitigate an rglage 2 BF 4 dB / M / HF after speaker placement and room acoustics.
Curve on the same frequency drives in it is very clear without being aggressive in the treble, medium to fine.
For low it should be noted a slight pique 50Hz (frquence rsonance of the woofer), which is growing especially as it is close to the wall!
But again the manufacturer still think at all, since for the richest of you there is a subwoofer to Yamaha HS80M adapted in order to have a more rponse rgulire and flat in the lower frequencies and not be limited to 42hz filter is made from the speakers, a small button to a place a low blow (80 / 100Hz) on the speakers if a sub is Submitted.
Stereo image is good?
The HS80M possde a very good image stro, it is not huge but very correct.
The sound is clear and prcis across the spectrum?
For my part, I never repeat the above (apart from the small bump in the 50hz) but nothing terrible.
Once one is aware it is understood and is ofSuite not take into account ...
I have already done some mixes on it, and never had a surprise up the cost elsewhere. It sounded tjr both gnral way.
The dynamic is meet? ...
It possde a very good momentum, there is nothing wrong of it!
OVERALL OPINION
How long have you use it?
Now it will be just over 6 months!
What is the particular feature you like best and least?
In addition to a fairly faithful rendition, a nice design / aesthetics!
Have you tried many other models before acqurir?
As I said above, I tried the Fostex PM05, RP8/V4 KRK, Genelec 8020/30
M Audio, MSP5 (bcp color too and certainly another model which I reminds me more in another price range I try Dynaudio BM5A stinks, big Genelec and Adam but we are talking in thousands of euros! ! This is more my budget x (
How do you report qualitprix?
I find great personal compares the quality stinks especially since I have them in a clearance sale ...
However, the sub is a bit expensive my taste.
Exprience with, you will do again this choice? ...
Without hsitez, while the level I'm satisfied!
An excellent pair of monitoring speakers for the price range, otherwise will pass on the MODEL very very expensive to get better
Note that even if the white cone reminds ofSuite the NS10, she did not have anything, they have no shortage of empty and low sound a little too clinical and cold!
ADD: I bought some time ago a subwoofer, and your exact enough gnial.
The Systm of the cost is really all its magnitude, it is an investment but worth dtour
