I’m recording drums using the Glyn Johns Method and ran into something interesting. Both mics receive exactly the same sound when recording. I can BARELY touch one mic and both tracks respond EXACTLY the same. Makes no sense to me but I’m not well versed in this. Condensers to preamp to scarlette to GarageBand. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
This might be a stuppid question but...
When you touch a mic and both tracks react I suspect something a set in mono or assigned to the same track. If you put headphones on is it still the same? Or... Is it different?
Perhaps a screen shot of GarageBand track input whould be nice..

It's not about what you got to use .... but how you use what you got...
