1 Connecting speakers to Scarlett 2i2
Hi, do I need to connect powered speakers to the two jack outputs on my 2i2? I have a pair of passive monitors which won't produce any sound, although the headphone output is fine. Would a viable alternative to powered speakers (if that is the solution to the problem) be an amplifier between the 2i2 output jacks and the passive speakers? If so, which amp might I use? It doesn't need to be particularly powerful, I just have a preference for speakers over headphones when I am mixing. I am very new to all this! Thanks for any help, cheers Bob.
