Balley Warson
« gadget but not too much! »
Published on 01/15/11 at 05:22It is a tiny amp simulator for Bass as its name indicates.
The colors of (real) VOX amp that gives it a good face despite the fact that everything is in plastic.
There is only one purpose (according to the manual: comp / boost) whose only interest is to make your buzzer low, less than the minimum pay the gain and volume.
Otherwise there are two mini-jack sockets (in and out) and of course a jack to plug.
7 / 10 because of how rotten and FX a bit of the plastic aspect of it.
UTILIZATION
Is simplistic to use, it plugs into skyscrapers, we put the headphone is lighter.
It adjusts the gain, tone and volume in 30 seconds it's ready.
There is a manual with the usual precautions, but honestly it is useless.
A single defect quibble: the adjustment knobs that are too close to each other, the blow if we do not watch it crashes once on three.
Otherwise it's very useful as gear, it can take anywhere.
9 / 10
SOUND QUALITY
I bought it to play with my headphone (brand new) thunderbird IV.
I really expected something of the style gadget but if you stay wise on the settings the sound is very nice, unlike what was said barberoots just below (perhaps a matter of micro)
Being also a fan of Lo-Fi, FX mode disto-a-rotten-all-makes me laugh, but this is just funny, if you want something "clean" should forget this mode FX .
I do not know if it approximates the sound of the vox because I have never tried
7 / 10
OVERALL OPINION
I've had half a day!
I do not know of another such simulator for comparison.
Most
ultra basic settings
Ultra Portable
it sounds at once (with headphones)
it looks cool as device
The -
Damage that everything is plastic, I preferred metal because it does not look very solid.
Given the use that may apply to this kind of device (train at 3am with no neighbors to piss off) and took I'm very happy, it's simply perfect and I'll buy without hesitation !
go a little 9 / 10
