UTILIZATION

I use it with a Fenix JazzBass and a Korg AX5B pedal.

The sound without pedal is very good. The setting possibilities are basic but quite effective to create different sounds catering to everyone's taste. Deeper, a bit more "jazzy", aggressive, sweeter... In my bedroom I never set the volume control above 1 or 1.5 (10-steps scale) so that means the amp is powerful.

With the pedal it's just magic...

I haven't had the opportunity to use it in rehearsal with my band (we need a singer/guitarist) but I will have enough volume to play next to the drums.

SOUNDS

As I mentioned before, the clean sound is great and it is even better with the effect pedal, almost magical. I know it's not a brand amp but its 120-watt output power and its price are good enough for me.

The RB2 can handle the effects of my Korg pedal. It offers the right amplification for them and I can shape them very accurately thanks to the controls on the pedal and the amp.

The only negative point is that if you use the Comp(ression) control the sound is over-compressed making it useless on a professional level. It's convenient when I play in my apartment after nine o'clock in the evening, but during the day it reduces the output volume way too much.

OVERALL OPINION

I bought it 5 months ago and I still have nothing to criticize. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again.

I recommend it to everyone searching for a good rehearsal amp or for small venues. For bigger concerts, you'll need a more powerful high-range product. It's a mid/high-range amp and it's rather heavy (46.3 lb.)!

I'd rate its value for money with 9/10 because nothing is perfect, even though this amp does tend to perfection!

It is simple, compact, quite pretty. I would have preferred a Tolex finish rather than carpet, with a dog and / or cat at home or also travel in the trunk of the car it turns quickly into Yeti.

UTILIZATION

Manual light but not essential. Take the time to sit down for a moment before and play with the settings to find what you're looking for.

SOUNDS

My bass is a fretless Luthman Wave, passive Bartolini pickups, and Luthman Jazzette, active / passive, Delano pickups.

Neutral settings, the sound is immediately enjoyable with the active position Jazzette: round, transparent but slightly colored, harmonics present well without excess. I found the color of my bass as I know on my Hartke 3500, obviously on a smaller scale in the bass. Passive position, it will also, but more narrow and metal. In contrast with the passive fretless (which sounds great by the way) it's downright detestable dry metal means all friction fingers, no roundness.

By reducing the mids and highs with the equalizer however you do get a softer and warmer sound with the fretless. Asking the amp ground up rather than not reinforce the bad sense of depth too.

Serious are present, deep. Power: uh ... apartment I have not gone further than 2 ... highly enough. I played with an electric guitar amplified well head and Marshall 4x12, drum sound on, no problem to be heard next, and satisfactory for a small amp like that sound.

It remains a small amp, but for better must larger, therefore heavier ...

Note the interest of the DI output Speaker, that can plug directly into a PA or an external cab: plugged into my cab Hartke 410, this is the day and night!

OVERALL OPINION

I have a few months, bought in addition to the Peavey TKO 115s intransportable which was my main amp at the time, to have a second amp in the living room where he remains discreet.

In this sense I do not regret my purchase, it is compact, easily transportable, which is why I keep it now, it can make a very decent first amp for beginners. With an external speaker is transformed and it thus becomes a very interesting config and cheap: more than enough power and good sound at home, probably better than a large combo more expensive, more mobility, it disconnects the cab and go on vacation.

Balance sheet, a small right amp, Cheap occasion, which makes the job.

The sound without pedals is bluffing, the rglages are basic but quite sensitive to the diverse sounds CRER got to chancun. More serious, more "jazzy", more aggressive, more gentle ... In my room I do not Exceeds the volume of 1 or 1.5 of 10 is to say the sound it sends!

The RB2 supports trs good effects on my Korg pedals, it amplifies a Manir trs Pertini, and I know the rgler milimtre prs sound I want to have gr this to the SETTING THE pedals and amp combins.

Only small BMOL is when you push the button compression "Comp" (ct paramtre the "Gain") the sound is too compressed, but to play professionally. It serves me well APRS 21h, since I live in an apartment, but for me just being protected ears when I play The Day the sound becomes too low, I can hardly hear me.

I bought it almost five months ago and I still have no complaints. I do it again this choice without hsiter.

I advise those who want a nice little amp that sends the right sound for rptitions and small concerts, but for larger scale concerts should be considered when the same-high-end more power. It is a small high-end amplifier base, but PSE-even when its weight (21 kg)!

The report qualitprix for me is 9 / 10 because nothing is perfect but the same approach when perfection!
