32 inputs with XLR gate, comp, insert pre / post eq, 48v, low-cut, 4-band parametric EQ, delay.
6 entries jack trs. inputs 5/6 lined cinch. (recommended for external or insert return fx, cd, etc ...)
AES50 2 port (48 channels each)
1 USB port (for playback and record file *. Wav)
1 USB or firewire on slot 32 in / out recording.
1 talkback
MIDI IN / OUT
16 starts xlr (LCR can be master, mono, back scenes, fx shipments external matrices, direct out ...) with same parameters as inputs except gate. Parametric EQ band 6
6 departures jack trs outputs 5/6 lined cinch. (Recommended for external insert but can receive any signal from the console)
Ethernet output system demonitoring personel p16 behringer
AES / EBU output assigned to the master LR default.

UTILIZATION
The manual dusted the beast, but a lot of things to discover by be-even. (And good-even be surprised too!) But have more details would not be a luxury either.
Press "View" sections on each to get a visual on the screen. very fast access.
It has its own logic, so that the general configuration is simple and hard to judge when you have spent 10 years on all Yamaha. Some things seem logical, some not, but we made it.
Remote function: then I am very disappointed. When I realized I had to find myself printing to a BCF2000 + +. 8 faders + key combinations to achieve his purposes for reading bank of faders .... Fortunately the panel dedicated to "users keys" is effective on 3 banks, 4 encoders 8 push / toogle. Dedicated control for console or sending MIDI control. Too bad we can not customize the names of the MIDI parameter, for example the screen showing CC16001 ... then it would be so good with "Send PCM" in pink ...
Today, the game has twelve o'clock serves me control the sends in Nuendo + pre / post + On / Off more flexible than the Mackie Control
Otherwise pages for shortcuts and functions of the console, dedicated panel is great!
But the above still work regarding MIDI. The console communicates with xcontrol almost in its entirety, it must be possible to be able to make a great console MIDI control interface in a future update.
SOUNDS
convertos and preamp particularly cared for, not "cold" even rather warm, but lacks a bit of "couil * es" or "punchy" but very very light. Lack can be a bit of air (3.5-4kHz) but maybe I'm too used to what I've heard so far in digital (or I'm going deaf from me ... c ' idea is)
But the signal is respected! CA SONNE and is astonished.
compression. A little hard to use on the first voice, I found that ca compress fast enough, but it depends on the sources and sound you are looking for. However, the compression becomes softer mode bcp "RMS" with a Knee to 4/5, and there is quite nice.
At the time, I read that some complained about the lack of function ... esser and firmware 1.10 add fx ... but there are (at the expense of compression though) can be act on the compressor frequency range (dynamic equalization) or other filters can side chain with another slice. Today it is 1.12.
Gate: Finally a gate that does not make me regret selling my 4 DS201 was for me .... arrff nostalgia. It is always very complicated gates, we often hear the solo source and is often disappointed ... the snare opens tom2, pff .. but the strength of this gate is like the compressor is the choice of a frequency range where the gate will act (which existed on the DS201) so battardes finished openings.
FX: eq dual 31 band stereo and mono (2 different models) we say 1 eq "classic" and "linear" without phase) effective! controllable mode "eq fader is"
the reverbs: by "1.2, eee eee heee tsiii ..." I found the reverb tails not very nice ... but in a mix ca happens, especially when it is not my voice. I think we need a little work. Otherwise, not metallic, chaleureuseuse, but the diffuse scattering parameter not enough for my taste.
I have not tested the rest. very tempted to test the Waves comp and flat PCM70 way. (I could easily compare it with the original that I always in the pocket)
Overall, this is very correct.
The EQ per: low-cut, 4-band parametric. 2 mode "classic" and "vintage" one more surgery, the other softer. the extremes can be low frequency shelf. Version 6 bands on the Bus.
It did the job well, without having to push 12 +
OVERALL OPINION
I would like to:
-----> Optional insert card would be welcome
-----> A failure to insert the firewire / usb on slices.
The + beyond what I have already said:
-----> Update the firmware ultra serious
----> Able to say "I'm 16 eq31 bands if you want ... '
---> Here it sounds better than any yamaha output to date
----> Xcontrol for PC / MAC / Linux
----> XIControl Ipad to control the console from the tray, refer to spend the evening in the middle of the public, or at the bar and drink cups ....

----> Should say "pre / post pairs on the bus guy"
----> Asio driver 1 but not 2, so no direct monitoring products steinberg
---> Midi implementation is still very mild so far.
----> No scene "initial data"
----> No time settable in "go" on stage
----> Tap delay function not effective on very short time, see NAZE
-----> Cut the reverb in a change in length of parameter "time" (a check all the same)
Some effects not find the height?? Do not change your work habits or those of people you greet a pcm 80, one of M5000-two and presto!
Supply problems?? Pretend with DiGiCo, do not buy the console without an inverter. It remains very fragile these small computers, in FranceThe outage will be fatal for the current work, we will return to the last backup. (Crash tested)
