Mexican manufacturing.

Solid spruce Sitka.
Mahogany back and sides.
Ebony fingerboard and bridge.
Mechanical oil bath.
Comes in case gig-bag of good quality.
Format Dreadnought 3 / 4, Light string pulling.
Affects 19 boxes. no fret not hang up.

Guitar very simple but very nice, no lack of finishing.

UTILIZATION

Channel for a very fine folk, screwed directly on the table, allowing the lack of heel. It is generally very pleasant, the varnish sticks. Its smoothness is a bit confusing at first but we made it.

The guitar is very light (normal considering its size) and very handy. Pleasant to play sitting (not tried standing). The back is curved but not annoying. You can find a suitable position easily.

Despite the lack of access to acute heel is difficult (the frets on the table), the boxes are small by going to the table (not for big fingers) but hey it is not designed to make solos Block 17 ...

The tuners are a little weaklings, they regularly go out of tune, but hey ... I often carries However I have never had a problem during the game

Guitar bought for his small size and small pitch, easy to play, and carry around:)

SOUNDS

His qualities (and defects) are a relative in view of its small size:

There is little bass, the sound is not very powerful, but the projection is amazing for a guitar of this size. Highs are necessarily much more present, rather slap, but not aggressive either. the whole is very pleasant to listen, and some sounds reminiscent of the ukulele. I guess the quality of wood and manufacturing (massive table anyway) are not for anything in this rendering of the most amazing sound.

I play with a bit of everything: chords, arpeggios, finger picking ...

In comparison, it replaced an electro-acoustic Ibanez Talman TCY10E (which I had chosen for its ergonomics, near an electric guitar, and its small size compared to my Dreadnought). It (not plugged into an amp electric) did not have much more bass and sound was very "canned", not organic, quick unpleasant (well that is subjective).
With Baby, I have a smaller guitar with much better quality wood, and that sounds like a great (with less power of course) and not as a cardboard guitar. Perfect for portable use as I did.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 1 month.

I have not tried other models before, because it is by trying it by chance that I realized it would help me to replace my Ibanez Talman. I still well-tested models of competition (Martin) but I stumbled on the low-end models of Chinese pseudo marks (without comparison in real crates ...), so the Taylor 's is imposed by itself.

+: Very handy, I play it everywhere: on my couch watching TV with friends in the evening at the university. It sounds really good for a guitar so small. Easy to play (it would also be great for a beginner or a person of small stature as a child, a dreadnouht 4 / 4 could discard). gig bag provided very classy and very thick.

-: Lack of bass (but hey we know in advance, and I did not buy it for that, I have my Dreadnought 4 / 4 for this ...)

Value for money 8 / 10: it seems a bit expensive for a guitar that made "toy" but it is not one! it has real qualities, and manufacturing and wood quality are beyond reproach.

I would do without that choice issue, but I would try out the mahogany model anyway!
