- What technical specifications motivated your choice?
Dj I had the opportunity to work on SSL consoles and I have a SSL channel strip. Plutt I am a fan of the brand.

- For what purpose?
Registration groups and live recordings!

- What is your config (motherboard / CPU / Ram / Hard ,...)?
Pc Pentium 4 to 3 GHz with 2 GB RAM and two hard drives: a 160GB IDE and a SATA 300GB on which I record (both for my other OS).

- Which instruments do you use or the Systmes? ...
All types of instruments, there are no limits.

UTILIZATION

- Installation is it without problem?
Install it without any worries. I bought it on occasion and have updates downloads the latest version of the driver. A total of 3 minutes, stopwatch in hand.

- Have you experienced any incompatibility?
Yes, with my DIGI 002 on the same FireWire port. I had read on the website that others also have problems and I DJ Prior, bought a FireWire card supplmentaire prvision in this purchase. It took me close the project, my Duende plugger on the other port and everything went like clockwork.

- The configuration gnrale is easy?
There is a trick that's too bad: The Duende gnre latency between the signal in between the track and the cost. Softwares such as Cubase SX3 (4) True automatically but Pro Tools LE does not do (there are only a Pro Tools HD Digidesign do it). But is this concern for SSL or Digidesign.

- The manual is clear and sufficient? ...
Cit the problem above is mentioned at the outset when you read the manual implementation. It also explains how to get around the concern in Pro Tools LE (in plaant a time limit on other slices).

GETTING STARTED

- The drivers are stable?
looks. Any fawn, when working with audio, the machine will always be some tendency shakes. Just to be careful (do not connect a plug SSL on a slice while the song plays, for example).

- Are they often put day?
Know, I just have it.

- What software do you use most often?
Pro Tools 7.4 and Digi 002 with Cubase SX3 with a Saffire Pro 26i / o

- What you get lag?
2850.

- How many tracks you get record / playback simultanment? ...
I just tried a mix with 16 tracks and my pc does not flinch. There is a SSL channel on each track.

OVERALL OPINION

- How long have you use it?
It's been a week since I work and I have a lot of late. I'll be able to test thoroughly.

- What is the particular feature you like best and least?
MOST ---- ----
What KILL. You have to go sparingly. But it's true sound. For those who want sound, do not hsiter second.

---- --- THE LEAST
Well, it's not the price. I find, personal, and for what I pay to have the comfort of having a slice per track in which there is an EQ, a gate, a compass and an Expander more filters, and all this without my machine suffers is not a luxury, if you want to do the job, although sr.
The less is the latency in Pro Tools LE. But to counter the problem, just put an SSL channel each track, this Manir, there is more dcalage between tracks and the tracks with no.

- Have you tried many other models before acqurir?
No.

- How do you report qualitprix?
Extra!! As stated above, not only was the sound, but in addition it relieves the processor of the machine (to put more plug for example), and more were all in one. My other plug in my machine (and yet I have many) will not come in extra! It is all the same a solid machine.

- With the exprience, you do again this choice? ...
I am the derrire the ground. I really never found the satisfaction of a mix with all my plugin. Silent sound flat, cold, something was missing. L is real happiness. Not only sounds but also, it is sound (no chart to see how triturated sound, everything is done the ear).
There is also another thing I like skiing: is the fact that we should again, like the old days, reconfigure the environment before starting work. This practice is forgotten with the area of digital. Here it is to know about what bands we will add the duende. The other should be the deadline. In addition, I use as a 02R mixing desk and I have to configure it to work in remote for my Pro Tools. This requires that I assign my tracks properly and I do groups in Pro Tools (since 8 tracks via the remote only 02R). This means also that I prpare my session (including SSL) before starting mix. And flexibility becomes standard once it was a little prpar.
The trick is to witchcraft and I would consider buying a good deuxime (but I do not need it). For cons, I have also the x and x-comp-dmo in Eq (10) and I'll buy my ds budget.
I put 9 in the global and 7 to install and the problem of latency (it can be easily rsoudre). 9 is for sound, and what a sound.
