help required Removing the cable from a Shure Unidyne 515SA

I've got a unidyne 515SA that I quite like, but I'm really not a fan of mics with permanently attached cables.
I want to remove the cable and put a female jack socket in its place, but cannot for the life of me figure out how to properly open it up.

Any advice?
