Vocal mic, 50 years old technology. Good build quality.
OVERALL OPINION
Personally, I do not like the sound, it is soft with little definition. But this is the main choice of sound engineers for live rock. Everybody recognizes the sound and assimilates to a "concert". Moreover it is a standard data sheets. It's always nice to have in his box mic.
