Philips IS-5022 Mk2 Broadcast sound Enhancer

the problem with this unit is the latency makes it almost unusable "live" effects such as compressor or stereo processing generate significant latency that is added to achieve a total latency of about 100ms! (60ms) for the compressor alone. shame because the sound is very very good (I've mostly used as a sort of preamp gain knobs as pushed to the max here sounds great!) suddenly it's a shame it is used as a treatment off-line.

SOUND QUALITY

The converters are really good (better than many 24-bit).

As for the qualitée convert, I tested it on a plate Revox C221 (broadcast model with XLR etc ...) and was made considerablemen more present, clear, defined and realistic (as in égalemen with the model 5021 stereo ISP).

OVERALL OPINION

The unit is very professional and faith at the same time super easy to use but at the price of the number of parameters is limited, but the compromises are quite sensible.
