I bought the bass STAGG this weekend (sunburst version) in woodbrass, and I confess that while not (yet) confirmed a bass, I was totally excited about the instrument. Already the design is quite modern while being ergonomic. I read many reviews on it and I was expecting a very metallic sound and bad quality and I really was pleasantly surprised that it is a real alternative to the fretless bass. I do not suffer setback for the comparison with an acoustic bass since I never had the opportunity to play, but I would only € 425, there is no better way to start the bass at an affordable price. Moreover, like many, I am condemned to play in an apartment, and the opportunity to work with headphones and plug in a CD player or PC directly to the instrument without using a hi fi or mixer is really appreciable .
In conclusion, I would say that even if the bass is not a Stagg acoustic instrument, it has all the qualities for those who want to start or play at home (or nepas bored on the subway or in their small car).
