«  (What) In the mouth! »

Published on 10/26/10 at 06:56
Making Korean, 22 frets, 2 single coil pickups, a selector 3 positions, 2 volumes, 2 tones.

Copy aesthetics of Rickenbacker 4003, but the odds are different tune, neck width, total length ... so that the adaptable parts on a 4003 will not be for the AZ.

UTILIZATION

The handle is nice with good access to acute, but due to the pitch of 86 cm, the guitar is unbalanced, despite a relatively low weight (perhaps precisely because the body is not heavy enough).

SOUNDS

Bought used, it no longer had the original pickups, and I myself have changed those who were there for Seymour Duncan (SJB-3 bridge and a SCOAP-3 in the heats).
Tested on live sound, the sound is quite round, but it is neither that of a Rickenbacker, nor that of a Fender.

OVERALL OPINION

It's a favorite: I have long dreamed of having a Rickenbacker (out of my budget) so for the look, it suits me pretty well.
It is easier to play than my Squier P-Bass, but unless my Rockbass Streamer, which itself does not suffer from imbalance.
A buy for the look, especially when you did not afford the 2400 € for the original!
