B.C. Rich NJ Beast Bass

I refer to other opinions that have already well Describes the CHARACTERISTICS of this bass.

UTILIZATION

This is an easy to use low enough, the game is comfortable to the fingers, the handle is not too thick and Access in acute easy. Only 3 buttons to vary significantly fiddle sound. Small dtail INTERESTED, these three buttons are notched in the neutral position which facilitates reprage in the sound.
The mcaniques are of good quality I think, the agreement remains stable over time, we intensment plays or not.
The point is ngatif the weight of the bte. Indeed, it is not only heavy but also the weight is not well equilibrated. This has consquence the bass leans ct of the head to achieve a balance when the handle is close to horizontal. This is problmatique for someone like me who plays as a fairly low. It may be less a problem if the bass is played in higher position.

SOUNDS

The sound of this bass is really terrible! Unlike the image that we could have such a low (typ metal, cold, sound ...) it rvle a very varied range of sounds, all gr This three buttons (acute, grave and blend). Just play one of three buttons for another sound.
Be without the specialist in, I think the slap as well makes this scratching.

OVERALL OPINION

APRS more than two years of play on this bass, I'm still as happy. The metal is gnial trs look and a sound point of view, it is thundering and trs ployvalence INTERESTED.
It is both a quality and a weakness because its look east trs can be an obstacle not a metal bassist (I do not see a rnb funk bassist playing with this bass ...). INTERESTED against it by a metal bassist, since even with a low he can play all the variations of the metal (until death or the prog black).
It is also true that the weight and especially the poor may be rpartition dsagrables.
400 bought used, I think I got a good deal.

UTILIZATION

The handle is very nice played and access to acute pa poses problems.
It is a low but fairly heavy beast of a clean look o BC Rich. Transported it to provide a special cover faiut BC Rich (very hard to get) or at worst a cover acoustic bass just do the trick (note the horns a bit out of the bag in this case).
Its level must be provided at least a 150 watt amp that delivers powerful sound.

SOUNDS

Personally I play thrash and death metal so it suits me. Played with hope pa pa if you have an inspiration to play short of the death of thrash or black.
Its sounds are excellent in the low and relatively surprised me in a setting to obtain a high-pitched sound.

OVERALL OPINION

I use depui may from time but it was the choice of a long selection.
If you like to do is nag you if not go your way .....
I paid 600 euros which is largely honest the quality of the instrument.

Made in Korea. 4 strings, 24 frets, 4 BC Rich P-series pickups (2 side easel, 2 side handle).
4 knobs: master volume, balance between the pickups, EQ Bass / Treble with a middle (Mid), and Tone (Treble Boost). Channel 34. "Active electronics, which requires a 9V battery (hidden under a plate unscrewed). Black hardware. 4 lifts BC Rich on the head.

UTILIZATION

Obviously, one would expect, while BC Rich is the sound of thunder! Cold, perhaps a little too metal sometimes, and very powerful (no need to force the volume to bring out the "big" sound).
The highs are very affordable (the body begins at the 24th case). The handle is very comfortable to play, and more beautiful: the "diamonds" are the most beautiful pearlescent effect on the ebony fingerboard. Contrary to what I thought, it is not too heavy and the problem of "itchy nose down" is not so important: the lower right hand is held still. Question aesthetics, I love it! It really rips! Note however that the rear of the two points parallel to the handle may interfere when playing seated. And bad point for BC Rich, bass comes without bag in a carton. We must re-break the piggy bank to buy a bag reinforced (75 €), or better, but even more expensive and horribly difficult to obtain, a suitcase ABS molded to the shape of the low (130 €).

SOUNDS

This machine is fully committed to the metal, it is obvious when it was in his hands. But the sound is sometimes too slammed, even by putting the bottom on the equalizer Bass Boost. It's pretty bad because sometimes we would prefer a much more heavy and thundering, less metal. The range of sounds is quite broad because of the balance between pickups and equalizer. But otherwise the sound is perfect for metal (I play mostly heavy speed or black - Children of Bodom, Wintersun, Norther, Cradle of Filth).

OVERALL OPINION

I really love this bass, its look is great. It attracts attention more than any other. Obviously with that one is dealing with "trash" or "hardos," but I like this form. The head seems a little big at first, but eventually you tell yourself that if it were smaller it would have been ugly. I really hesitated between this and the Warwick Vampyre bass (who also looks terrible and costs about the same price - € 675), but I finally opted for the Beast. A € 690, it's really a good price / quality ratio. It's been a long time that I wanted, and now it is finally I am not disappointed. Another problem on the side of BC Rich is that it is sometimes difficult to obtain: the first time I ordered on time were more than four months ... Suppliers have relatively few in stock because the Warlock is much requested. I give it 9 because I think that electronics aurair been more "sharp" even at the expense of the price, I would have liked the EMG or similar rather than BC Rich.
In short, this instrument is really good: a well metal and look fabulous. I highly recommend if you like the "headbanging music."
