This is a low manufactured in Indonesia ^ ^ It has 21 frets and pickups like "paved" humbucker, splitables. The bridge is a G & L: large block of aluminum (I think) screwed onto the body, the strings bind in this block. The handle is wooden (I think ), Maple with rosewood fingerboard, bolt with 6 screws. There are, as have not mischaracterized the other advisors, 3 knobs (volume usually acute, severe) and 3 mini-switches:
- A 3-position for the option of the pickups (neck / neck + bridge / bridge)
- One or two positions for the selection of windings (series / parallel)
- Another 3-position EQ (off / on / on + treble boost) So, for the "sound", it can be long ...

UTILIZATION

The neck is thinner than the super tree trunk that I have on my Peavey GrindBass (which is nonetheless very comfortable), and the varnish applied to the rear is excellent. The bass is a little lighter than my base of comparison (the Peavey) but still quite heavy (and at the same time if I wanted something light I could make a ukulele! ). For access to acute, I only play maybe not as it should, but when I need to go, leaving my thumb back of the neck, and suddenly, no problem! For once the sound, I could play it for the moment on my amPlug Bass, which is nice to work at home, but to realize the sound I expect to try it on my Cube Bass ... CHUI IMPATIENT !!!!!!!!!

Edit 03/03/2010: I finally complete this review. At the first rehearsal with the new bass, huge disappointment: I tried to play with the settings like I did with the Peavey, and obviously it has not done anything! My sound was weak, too acute not bad enough, then anything but a good bass sound good round. So, I brought the amp (the real) at home, and spent the next week to seek suitable réglaces. After this week of research, there were two new again, and there chui content: whereas with the Peavey I changed the amp modeling and I adjusted with knobs, now, I change her with switches and I adjust with the knobs! I will not need during the concerts to turn to my amp after each song!

SOUNDS

I'll come back and elaborate a note when I (finally !!!!!!) pretty low plugged in the amp, the true, but already on the amPlug is very versatile! The slamming of the heavy big, fat, nya everything in this beast!

Edit of 03/03/2010: Once found the equalizer, modeling, and good compression ratio, my sound is great (not quite perfect, but this is normal). I have access to my sound tracks for slamming funky, I filled her sweet serious for ballads / rock, and a more punchy for edgier rock and all that with just 3 knobs and 3 switches !

Well, it still lacks a bit of big bass for my taste, but I got used to my Peavey (5 strings and neck-through, it helps to have the big bass!).

Go, as it lacks bass, I do that 8.

OVERALL OPINION

I've had 2 days. I spent a good half hour to the store to try and two Cort (GB74 and Artisan B4). The B4 was not versatile enough for my taste, and I was disgusted by the ugly black pickguard of GB74, despite the sound that seemed as versatile as that of G & L. .. What I like most is the versatility of madness, and that with such an output level, I should be able set it right with half the volume on the bass, with good reserve edgy songs and / or chorus. What I like least is the bridge and chrome knobs: it makes the white areas on the photos The value is in my opinion very good, but I will confirm it after testing on a large nampla. With experience ... I did not! We will see in a few repeats / months / years / concerts!
