Everything has been said, Korean, Luthite, 24 cases, 4 buttons, one for each microphone, a bass boost and tone. Bridge and chrome hardware standard.
UTILIZATION
Handle very nice, not too heavy, very precise cutting of the body for optimum playing comfort. In Ergodyne, ergo there, and obviously, they pretty much studied ergonomics for this bass.
SOUNDS
The problem lies. Bought in 98 as principal bass, I was very happy sound level. Eventually I found a headless bass hohner b2a and is the ibanez took a slap, equalization is really poor on this EDB500, the sound pallette is much much richer on the hohner and the BTB555.
OVERALL OPINION
Today I'm using it more, bought when I was a student, I could not afford to offer me better. Today I has another Ibanez BTB555, a headless hohner b2a that give me both more fun at her (we're not in the same price range) on the other hand comfort level, there is no picture of the EDB500 prevails. I plan to make défretter or resale. Honest low to begin low cost.
