Made in China. Entry-level Precision Bass-like instrument.
The body is made of ordinary wood. I think it's plywood or some sort of very lightweight wood.
"P" pickup, volume and tone control...20 frets.
USE
The neck is poorly lacquered, the frets bulge a bit, which is very unpleasant. It's pretty lightweight and the color of the body is not only well applied, it's also very nice (it's not all-black, it's a bit diffused; and I also saw it in forest green).
SOUND
I'm not really a fan of the P-Bass sound, but this bass has a decent sound, despite its somewhat run-down look. It's clearly a down-market product, but it sounds better than many low-end models that are (sometimes much) more expensive.
The pickups don't produce much noise, they are quite reasonable in that respect. Plus, they are very clear and you can slap easily. To be honest, it's surprising.
OVERALL OPINION
I bought this bass to defret it, to amuse myself and to make myself with a low-cost means to practice playing fretless bass without going broke and without risking too much. It was the cheapest model in the store. I gave it an average mark because it sounds all right, even good if you rush me. But I don't recommend it to beginners: Save a couple hundred bucks more and get a higher-quality model, otherwise you'll regret it very soon...
(Once I defretted it and painted the pickguard black, it not only looks good, it also sounds awesome).
