See more advice.

I think the greater good of the pedals.
But like many positive reviews, I will be choosy and you talk a little more negative side (which is nothing compared to what I find positive ... I repeat ...)

UTILIZATION

The basics of using and programming is easy (including the assignment of pedals) ...
Other things seem extremely complicated or poorly explained. (Virtual pedal, hold function ...)
... and then, I tend to say that ... "Too many settings, kill the setting" ... it gets a little delirium and bidding among manufacturers.

Especially since Boss had forgotten (deliberately?) Something big .... : You can assign any MIDI signal to a patch (from 1 to 128) ... that's good.
.... But we can not assign the scroll of the MIDI signals to one of the pedals contained in the GT-8.
Result: If, during a concert you want to run a series of sounds (no dancing like crazy on your GT8), you should invest in a small external MIDI controller. (See topic that I filed in the forum)

The French manual is not in the box. Remember to ask the sellers, they are usually in separate packages.

SOUND QUALITY

A big damper on the effect octaver and shift: It's very convincing when it transposes into the grave, but it is much less in the treble. By connecting an acoustic 6 string, I would have liked to get a beautiful sound of 12 strings (with a bit of time and shift to the upper octave) ... But it's yuck :-(

Also, I'm not a fan of distorted sounds .... and there is the overdose. I have turned many users in the banks. For banks factory, there can not do anything: they are there and they stay there ... For me it's just a waste of space.

OVERALL OPINION

I've had three weeks. Well now I master all the basic manipulation (edit, save etc ...)
I am now trying to discover the more advanced features, and it sometimes becomes the puzzle: the pedal is fully configurable: it's great, but you really think about the toy you want to make ...

The seller had taken the Vox Tonelab SE. I had two days at home, and then 2 days .... the GT-8 I preferred Boss (price, size, use more intuitive ...) Ironically, my choice was not too focused on the sounds, because for one as for the other, I did not like factory sounds ... (75% saturated sound ... enough is enough)

Despite the criticisms above, I do it again this election easily, because for 450 euros (3000 !!!!), balls were a huge number of effects ...
