Multi-effects pedal COSM technology (digital) BOSS

UTILIZATION

The pedal (like the picture shown) consists of four "blocks" of effects:
- The overdrive / saturation (11 x 2 button with change)
- Modulations (11)
- Time limits (11)
- The effects of the expression pedal (6)
must be added:
- A selector dial tone
- Compressor
- Reverb
- A noise gate
and finally a sound bank with a default editable: the transition from one to another is done by a "white" half a second. It's a bit annoying, but it only affects the sound bank, the effects can be used one at a time without the white.

Edit of 22/05/2007: a graphic EQ (7 band genre) it will be really the top, can be good I ask a lot, but it's true that I enjoyed testing and see what happens. .. m'enfin is really to nitpick!

SOUND QUALITY

- Much of the OD are: the Blues Driver 2, OD 1 and 2, the fuzz are not too bad, for against the OD mode selected by the "variation" are a notch below.
- Modules are fun, but require considerable time to adapt and settings for a sound that is not too "synthetic"
- I have nothing to reproach the time, but I do not use them much ...
- The expression pedal has good modes (wah, octave + / - 1) and others less usable, at least for me ...
- The modifier key may be interested (I hugely "hollow", great for a blues with a little crunch BD 2) but some selectioions medium (acoustic, but hey should not expect a miracle)

9 / 10 because I'm really happy with the sound

Edit of 22/05/2007: I use it more and more I am delighted, frankly qq for making the guitar for fun without too much take the lead, without being a fundamentalist of "sound", and especially without spending tons of gold coins is a really good tool with a pallette of effects large enough to make a bit of everything
a note on the OD / distortion: I "discovered" every day! the tube screamer, the big muff, the rat, the octave fuzz ... ect. frankly I never tried the original and it satisfies me.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 2 ½ months
I bought it in store € 290 with the adapter (for my taste required)
I had never tried, but I was lucky it suits me ...
This is a great multi-effects pedal, but it is not comparable to a succession of dedicated pedals ... but this is not the same price ..
short if you have a limited budget and want to try lots of different sounds ... bingo ..
nothing prevents us from passing before the pedals dedicated ... I see it from here a year or two ... in the meantime I enjoy fine.
Edit of 22/05/2007: I note enhances a point, because even at the price and I paid (and you can have almost two times less expensive OCCAZ ...) and well I is it worth it, and then frankly my remark on the pedals dedicated, it's snobbery for the price of the ME50 is frankly all good!
