I was wanting, needing a volume pedal with a wah but, came across and, man I'm glad I did. If you use the drive in moderation and set the tone and level you also have a boost pedal also. These used to sell for about $180 new and $70 I paid for it was an awesome deal! I use it on the floor not on a pedalboard. My new Fender Mustang GTX100 already comes with a pedalboard and this Morley just finished the whole package. Love it!!!!!! I didn't mention anything about distortion or overdrive because I'm using that part for a clean boost but, it will perform that function if you want it just turn the drive knob up. If you're looking for heavy distortion like for metal probably won't do that well but, overdrive not bad if you're wanting that. I had one of these a few years ago but, sold it. Should have kept it but, now I was fortunate to find a good used one. Just needed a cleanup some pot cleaning and very slight adjusting. Good as new. Morley pedals are built like a tank. That's all I'll ever use.

This pedal has three different functions, volume, distortion, and wah. You can use either the wah or volume with the distortion. The wah is great, but sounds totally different from the wahs I have. I have a dunlop wah and vox wah, which I like better than the morley. Overall, the wah and volume functions aren't that bad, but the distortion is a different story. ALso, you can use this pedal as the expression pedal for many other pedals, like the digitech rp50, it has the exp. input, plug this pedal in and you can use the whammy function sort of likr the real whammy pedal.

I read reviews where it said the distortion was great and all, that was a lie. The distortion on this pedal is pretty bad, don't buy it expecting a great distortion. Definitly, if you need dist., buy a ds-1 or metal zone or something, trust me, the dist. on the pedal ruins it, I never use it. Also, after you have this pedal for a while and use it a lot like I have, the pot gets kinda noisy. So, you gotta replace it after a few years. I am not saying the pedal is bad though, it is great, except 4 the distortion.

Built great and sounds pretty good. I know the newer Morley wahs sound a lot better, like the Bad Horsie pedals. If you are looking for a good Morley wah, definitly go for the newer pedals they got out, like the Steve Vai Bad Horsie 2 wah pedal.

This pedal is alright, on a scale from 1 to 5 I give it a 3. It is a good pedal, but go for a newer pedal.

UTILIZATION

I personally did not find the extraordinary amplitude. not practical to switch to the switch next to the volume pedal, to change quickly is not great: you end a solo in the closed position, well, you should switch to the volume and you re-open for the after her. not great.

SOUND QUALITY

Sharp and cold for the wah, and frankly not great for distortion. I found it in the studio, so I tried to sound very incisive OK, but must not want to do with the blues .... (Generally not be bought for a morley ca you tell me). for the metal or rock very modern ca must do, its very sharp and precise as desired. if not, all that is vintage is unusable (again this is not the purpose of morley either).

the distortion is pretty ugly. Finally, let's be more objective, say it is absolutely not my style or my taste: not very accurate for the solos, the tone knob does not change the sound, so in the end it's more gimmick than anything else. should not hope to use it as main distortion, rather like a boost, it's useful.

function volume changes the volume (incredible). and it does nothing else (yet happy).

OVERALL OPINION

Note that I do not have it, I used it for several hours, and it does not give me want to buy it.

just because pay extra for a slightly used distortion, blah. purchase a wah + much volume and keep the rest for a true overdrive really adapted to the sound desired. Q / P not so fantastic.

if not, well it's a morley, morley so it sounds: cold and sharp, very sharp. some people like, not me.

So far as is ASEZ séduissant pa idea was still heard the sound and it looks sturdy plastic knob except a little cheap but overall it is tempting .. we continue hoping that it remains as attractive ...

UTILIZATION

Setup is super simple rule and you're off the distortion

no real manual (a separate sheet) but no need to set a man drive a tone and volume

So use simple common hyper bin until now is quite positive.

SOUND QUALITY

Houle, This is where it gets tough we Meton good situation I'm in the store with one hand this morley wah volume distortion and also a Dunlop wah and volume boost (a little history to compare the two before purchase) type guitar les paul and marshall amp with transistor

1 - Volume control ok not super accurate as an Ernie Ball volume pedal that I try on the heels but it (Ernie Ball) costs € 20 more than for just a morley volume pedal so the pedal to morley volume of my good but not great, but the morley batait still soundly the dunlop on this point
-> Summed up the first volume Ernie Ball (standout) and Morley 2nd behind dunlop

2 - then the wah, I agree with the previous opinion the wah is very cold and the pedal travel terribly unequal to image is like a race 10m wah-joint is put on 3premiers and the rest of the race is not used much.
I then try the dunlop and there .. waaaah (this is the case to say) that's a fucking wah sounding and has personality.
Therefore the morley wah not transcendent but passable anyway I'm not a big user of wah

3 - distortion: while there's really not the strong point of the pedal is a distortion ok ...
Finally: I think that overall the pedal is not exceptional but it is easy to carry and for repeat that may be ok I buy the morley.

I come home and there ... HORROR! I try to pedal on a config Gibson les paul marshall 4x12 cabinet celestion greenback and at a heads engl powerball and a vox ac 30 cch.

and there I felt like plugging a toaster in my guitar for a bit I cried ... rotten sound impossible to correct a distortion and a wah who farted ears.

It sounded so drinking a small transistor amp at moderate volume
But on the lamp while sending the decibel is ugly to die for a metaphor to imagine that you have a great steak of choice and you thighs with oil drain.

As you can see the note at sound quality will be up for a disappointment.

OVERALL OPINION

Quite simply the day I refer to the store and buy instead of ernie ball which certainly is more expensive cert does not wah or distortion, which is just volume but does it very well and very accurately, and I do not regret it

To be objective this pedal just be interesting for a beginner musician on a budget and with an amp too big and especially transistor, if not prefer him a good three separate wah pedal a good distortion and a good volume of course it will cost you at least three times the price of this pedal but either way you risk quickly you want to separate

So try it once but twice, if possible in your personal config, but for me this pedal is worth much less as a guitar effect that gadget.

For the overall rating I take into account the contruction of the concept that it might be appropriate for certain but the poor sound quality it can show.
