Made in Mexico has all the characteristics of a jazz standard, except:
- A kind of Tune-o-matic bridge replaces the horrible classic
- A radius of 9.5
- New microphones, output levels greater
- Block vibrato (US by the way) near the bridge
As mentioned in the previous opinion, the handle is super nice, is access to acute nickel, feeling awful game.
I find it rather heavy, but it is downright unbearable, very well balanced.
on the other hand I am not a fan of the block near vibrato, it's less cool to scratch behind the bridge has a Sonic Youth
Vibrato and the stem is not that great either, it floats, you can not block it
I play to sum up the alternative rock, progressive, or the shoegaze, but I try my hand at all, I play on an H & K Tour Reverb but I had the opportunity to test the beast on a lot of other amps
Well then, what strikes immediately with the scraper, it is the micro
They are supposed to have more punch, in practice they are closer to SD Hot for Jazzmaster or P90
In his clear is hotter than a jazz standard, round, less crystalline, even if it remains in the same spirit, I like less personal.
In distortion / fuzz, ca deposit! The punch was well, she is quite aggressive and it supports quite well the big fuzz and saturation, a condition not make black metal
As a bonus, ca buzz less than a classic Jazz
on the other hand, she made a rather random according to the amp, weird
On my H & K, it almost sounds like a Gibby as she is (I said closer!) A Telecaster on a (good) Marshall with the same settings
I use it for some months now, and I do not regratte my purchase
It is much more practical than Japan, for not much more if you count the almost obligatory mods on the Japs
I got it for 600 euros Dv287, and that price is really a steal
His only big flaw for me is that it does not ring round a Jazz classic for aficionados of his clear fenderien like me, it can clog
But very very good scratch in the end
