I tried the beast this morning, and there ..... frankly ..... it quiet.
The sounds are excellent with lots of dynamic roundness. Very realistic.
The pads are a good size and can feel at ease compared with the competition where you have to fork out for the pads of size resonance. The rebound is nice and close to an acoustic.
I read a lot of people down through the roof rack and frankly, I think they exaggerate. It is stable and well designed for little that is well fitted and adjusted. It may seem weak when compared to competitors' racks, but they are oversized to reassure the buyer. So do not trust your eyes, and solid rack and also it allows to have a GC that does not tamper-bar-the geese in a short time of play
As for the hi-hat. In my opinion, it should be up to another foot (any brand as long as it suits you) and keep the lower cup to prevent it from inadvertently back with the pad opening. This should improve the sensitivity and accuracy. Plus the update to be provided 2box soon, I think it will top.
Conclusion: I only have to sell my stuff to the current acquiqition of this kit. J'aiessayé lot of other brand model but that's the killing to a value / price ratio.
