«  I very much regret this purchase »

I had already bought a second FW410 for my studio in town (Win7 64 bit) before problems start with the first (on XP) driver disappears repeatedly for no apparent reason and technicians / advisors on M-Audio can not solve the pb.

Then it happens on the second too. And now it does not work at all.

It's been four years, with a few "updates" (the last dating from 2009) without changing anything - if not it gets worse, period!

UTILIZATION

The drivers are stable? Not at all.

They are often updated? No.

What software do you use most often? Sound Forge Pro 10

What you get lag? I have not looked. No apparent.

How many tracks you get to record / playback simultaneously? 8, when it works (it's 2-in, 8-out)

GETTING STARTED

The installation is done it without problems? In 2 times. A bit odd.

Have you experienced any incompatibilities? Conflict, especially between different software or different sampling rates. For such a map is poor. Most cards do not have this problem supermarket.

Config and manual without problems

OVERALL OPINION

How long have you use it? 4 years and 3 years (I have two. Woe!)

What is so special that you like most and least? Plus: Firewire. The least: It regularly falls down, to overturn the studio sessions and so on.

Have you tried many other models before buying it? Before, yes.

How would you rate the quality / price? It's not worth € 10.

With experience, you do again this choice? Rather be cleaner toilets.
