Value For Money :
Excellent
The technical features that motivated my choice for FireWire 410:
What I like are the two inputs and phantom power supply more particularly the two headphone outputs are convenient for mobile use. That can be used with this card pro_tools.Mais actually I have big problems with registration, I have crackling and dropouts.
What use?
To mock and / or to make def music, sounds to mount on pro-tools on the movies.
My config?
I have an ASUS F3J series laptop: cpu Duo T2500: 2 G of ram and 120 g of memory.
Instruments?
I record with a RODE NT1 and with a sm57 and a sm58, as I plug the card directly on bass and electric guitar. I have a silent keyboard to order MIDI.
UTILIZATION
The installation was done without problème.Sauf I reinstalled the drivers to make sure that my problem was not there.
Incompatibilities? Not everything works except recording.
Configuration rule is quite easy
The manual?
Ok
GETTING STARTED
The drivers are stable until the recording picks
I have updated regularly.
The software I use, Cubase, Vega (the range Sony) for mounting image in particular.
Latency is 7202 ms I think it's going cad to register with the internal monitoring without going through an external mixing desk.
I can only record two tracks simultaneously and when it works, it works ...
I can read a lot of tracks, I think I had a project with more than 30 tracks.
OVERALL OPINION
I use it for a year and a half, but I use it really config recording studio for a month.
I love everything in it when it is operating normally.
No I have not tried other model before buying it but I got advice from friends who use it.
Good value: price again if it works.
I think I would do this choice but mainly I will test the early days and I will use the warranty.
