Characteristics that motivated my choice:

The FireWire
Preamps
The sleek design

Use

Recording with Cubase LE (supplied with the card!)
Use VST and VSTi

My config

Abit NF7-S
Barton 2600 +
1 GB of RAM
250 GB + 500 internally and externally

Instruments

Electric guitar
Guitar

UTILIZATION
Installation / Incompatible
After a few setbacks (cracking, loss of sync) and following no response from the SAV Presonus, I decided to take the bull by the horns: reading some forums I was able to find a solution to my problem ... A simple IRQ conflict! After removal of the IEEE1394 controller in the device manager, then reboot, the IRQ were reassigned correctly. Whew! For those interested: Start Menu> Accessories> System Tools> System Information. In Physical, you will find your happiness (conflicts, divisions, etc.).. Another tip: start control panel Presonus when you plan to do a recording. This avoids losing sync of Cubase (at least on my config).
Configuration / Manuel
Nothing too serious: just a few clicks and everything works. The manual is succinct but sufficient for my use of this card.
GETTING STARTED
Drivers
Stables ... Nothing to say. No update since my purchase (in February).
Software used
Cubase LE and Guitar Rig 2
Latency
6 ms
Number of tracks
For now, I just read a dozen MIDI tracks and record two or three audio tracks ...
OVERALL OPINION
Conclusion
I use this card for three months.
What I like most: the control panel which replaces the switches and potentiometers others (which always end sizzle or drop).
I bought this product without testing it. On paper, it seemed to meet my needs (small). For the price, the quality is excellent.
I have tried no other product before I decide, but I think I would do this election ...
