8 XLR inputs of good quality (to save battery without breaking the bank in preamps)

homestudio, model, live recording.

iBook G4 1.42 ghz 1.5 ram + dd firewire.
UTILIZATION

I come from the PC and looked for 2 hours if my card was installed correctly. I only would ever come to mind that could be just plugged in and it goes!

8 tracks well with a 24/96 ibook. and reading, I have not been very unkind to the ibook. I would do an updated whenever the opportunity arises.
rating: 08.01 with cubase 4 tracks simultaneous recording, it's really stupid c ** and because no interest. even creating a business strategy frustration for us to buy.
edit 4 months later with respect to the free soft drinks, combined with the presonus mac is boring. neither audacity nor does HyperEngine AV. Fortunately qu'ardour going to address the lack of cubase 1.08 (4 tracks simult). I put 9 but I am not convinced
OVERALL OPINION
It's been 3 months that I have and like a lot of firepodien, I want to have a second to have 16 tracks. I love everything about this sound card except that it was probably built by a Chinese living below the poverty line, I knew not buying it. short, I started with a pro isis then I had a yamaha mt120 4pistes cassette and the Edirol UA20. as well say it's another world. apart from the four tracks that had a great sound, the rest is well below.
the value is excellent, given the construction site. to say nothing of price, quality presonus is there. furt I join in the lack of gain.
I regret the adat, but good for about 700 euros ....., it was understood.
I put ten. the last rehearsal I took my gym bag (it's a word I do not know), I put the FIREPOD, my microphone, a few jacks and XLR. In my backpack computer. with 3-foot poles on the spot, I made a small demo of hell unpretentious.
I think a motu 828mkII example which has only two XLR inputs, I could could do this kind of intervention.
- With experience, you do again this choice? ...
