The recently-launched VeniceF mixing console features the functionality and sound of the Midas XL3 EQ and filter section, Midas mic preamps, 100mm faders, a dual 7×2 matrix and a reorganised master section layout. Furthermore the VeniceF’s 32×32 FireWire capability adds 32 channels of multitrack recording and playback (VeniceF 320) using a suitable FireWire-equipped computer, without the need for additional interfaces.
Although specifically designed for live sound, the VeniceF also works in recording and remixing applications. Each Midas VeniceF console includes a free 60-day trial version of Record, which functions as a multitrack recording system, plug-in host and virtual FX rack with a choice of FX options. Record will operate in conjunction with almost any FireWire-equipped Mac or PC, the company says.
