Hello everyone,
It's been about 3 weeks I own a pair of JRX 115.
They are powered by a QSC amplifier United States 900, a Soundcraft mixer.
Noting that the gate of an enclosure almost beyond the edge of it, I pushed the curiosity one step further: I unscrewed a few to see inside, and removed the front grille.
Findings:
- Minimalist interior, equipment depreciation covers only slightly in the bottom sides, no top, no bottom.
- As an air vent, a simple cut in the front panel, shaped "rounded triangle" - but I'm not well versed as to whether this is normal or not ...
- Support to mount the speaker on the feet is mounted slightly askew,
- The felt covering the walls was poorly bonded area (behind the grille)
- Finally, the rounded shape of the grid is obtained using three small pieces of MDF at the center bottom, center top and center "just above the woofer." If the grid on one of the speakers almost beyond the edge of it, it comes from too great a thickness of these pieces of MDF - for quality control and manufacturing, we revert! I solved this problem with a wood file and a little bit of sanding, of course after removing the pieces of MDF enclosure, and have them replaced after ...

As for sound quality, there is a lack in the upper midrange that can make acute aggressive. With a small correction (EQ DBX 231), the result "Pete" not bad.

In summary:
- Feel like a sacrifice on build quality for a price then it would be easy for little money to improve these few problems,
- Quality and not bad punch, provided a small correction.
