Installation is no problem as pro tools 8. The big Hic just the iLok is not supplied with the pack crossgrade. WRONG!! So rather tell it € 300 for the pack crossgrade.
The general configuration is easy?
The general configuration is equally simple. If we know ProTools, new features will delight buyers:
- ProTools aggregate that can use multiple audio interfaces simultaneously
- The compensation latance
- The I / O setup improved
- The number of simultaneous voice recordable (32 instead of 18)
- Management mp3
- Acceptance of CoreAudio and ASIO drivers
If we know ProTools HD then it's the same with texting restrictions for the coup.
Have you experienced any incompatibilities?

On ProTools with thirty tracks that run in 48KHz/24bits, a score of plug-in, the gauge is at 40% CPU and hard drive gauge is at 25%
The software works he correctly on this configuration?
The software has closed itself once but since I never had any problems.
This software + hardware is stable?
With my sound card plugged into Firewire hard drive plugged into the second firewire sound card that works very well (see above on the percentage of the gauges in ProTools)

I was on ProTools Eleven 8 with the front rack. No problems either but I could not use my sound card Focusrite.
What thing do you like most/least about it?
The pros:
- Compatibility with all sound cards
- ProTools aggregate (the blow use my sound card and my Eleven Rack same time! And soon a RME Fireface 800 and more! ^ ^)
- Latency compensation
THE -: no iLok with the package!
What is your opinion about the value for the price?
Not terrible because it is expensive € 300 for options that already exist among competitors is that there's an iLok to use it.
But hey, I'm on Pro Tools for quite some time and with version 9, it fills all my expectations and so far, stability and ease of jobs are waiting for you. And as I often work with ProTools HD, I can bring my sessions at home and continue to work.
Knowing what you know now, would you make the same choice? ...
Probably yes but not without hesitation ...
