Hello!!! Im having trouble figuring out how to play a vst instrument, have followed the manual but am missing something i think!!

Well its more routing it. Ive followed the manual but after activating i cant find any in or out routes, im lost!!

vst instruments are not all the same.

usually, vst instruments are triggered with midi

try creating a new midi track, then set its output to the vst instrument.

create a new midi event (pen tool) and double-click on it to edit it. you should see your midi grid with a nice set of piano keys on the left. clicking on them should make the vst instrument tick.
