midi keyboard controller problems...

I am using a PCR-500 midi keyboard controller for Reason 3.0, whenever I attempt to play (strings, bass, etc.) to one of my beats, the notes i play continously sustain without me even using the sustain pedal. I have to click the stop button on thr Reason transporter for it to stop ringing. Also is there a way to turn off midi to the redrum so the controller will stop playing and effecting my drum patterns? Does anyone have a idea on how to correct this problem? HELP!!!- < Thread list
