Analog distortion, supposedly clone Proco Rat, which actually uses the LM309 chip of the original Rat.
Mono, volume, gain (conventional) and a "filter" that is not a simple tonality but adds bass or treble by turning the extreme (such as Rat)
A 3-position switch: normal-max-turbo, which changes the answer in terms of gain and added a diode clipping on the turbo position.
True Bypass.
Very own manufacturing quality unless the switch is in marshmallow and is the weakest link. Ramen 2 times due to congnitale weakness.
Mouse-Rat, MDR.
USE
No user manual, as the compressor of the same brand, but hey, not rocket science, it's classic.
Attention big difference output level according to the position of the switch. This is trsgnant if one wants to make rglages steals live.
The distortion is very (too) in severe drooling from 2 thirds of the winning race even half depending on the position of the switch. Even with high output pickups.
Quite that takes time to find a satisfactory rglage especially that there is some interaction between the filter and the gain (such as Rat ...).
SOUND QUALITY
I get out of a quest of several months of Idale distortion, and I've tried a few. The Biyang does not sound at all like a current Rat. I do not remember how sounds an original Rat, so ????
The Biyang sounds warm and flut share in the gain fuzz ds Exceeds half the dynamics is quite large and the character of the guitar is not too smothered.
The normal positions and turbo are close enough, a few shades RESPONSE attack and in the bass.
The maximum position is unusable for me, it seems to have a non DSIRE saturation, tape is too rotten kind that request.
Good raction volume knob and an upstream overdrive.
I use two rglages either 11:00 gain normal or turbo position and filter 2:00 for a kind prog rock very beautiful solo, much less relevant in rhythmic. Gain is almost the minimum for a clear boundary of the merger, such heating Fender white, but with a color and a little grain DIFFERENT (you understand? S). Terrible funky casseroles or arpges ... All the time or what.
In all cases, it is never aggressive and not very roots. No, not AC / DC or Pantera or SRV. But rather Jeff Beck, Marillion, or even Dream Theater ballad. Or me ... But for the latter, everyone cares.
NOTICE GLOBAL
I've had 3 months and it's not the presents in my Pdalboard distortion, but I use it when I have to fly away cravings lyric on a record. Sonorits very hot, like all products of the brand I've tried.
Damage to the switch two balls, one false note of Table 50. Yes, 50 is given when you see some pedals "boutique" 5 times more. And that is the standard price of the full range Biyang.
There are cloned as Collins brand.
