This 6189 is a 12AU7 that was ruggedized for operation in military mobile, shipboard, and aviation communications equipment, making it suited for use in an effects pedal. When driven hard, as it is in this Limited Edition pedal, the tube produces beefy distortion.
The Inducer uses the same circuit as the MODTM Persuader Kit, but the 6189 gives the Inducer distorted fuzz. There will only be 30 of these Limited Edition kits made. Each has a hand designed box.
MODTM Kits are designed to give musicians the opportunity to build their own amps and effects pedals. All kits come with instructions and use point-to-point wiring. A pre-drilled enclosure and all parts are included. What you need to provide are hand tools, a soldering iron and solder. The effect pedals operate on a 9V battery; for a longer lasting option, a 9-volt adapter can be purchased separately.
