Published on 12/27/03 at 15:00Got it at Cheshire music in Keene, NH. It had been sitting there new for years! It was part of the year end markdowns, so I scored it for $100!! It has low, fast action, and sounds great, so it had to come home with me.
I played all the Fender Telecasters, i ncluding the USA mades, and they don't play as well. This Peavey has a nice red finish w/white pickguard, and sounds as real as any Fender. The neck is slighty thinner, so it's what I consider a fast neck. The action is great, and the tone is sweet both plugged in or not. It even has a micro-tilt style neck!
My only dislike is that the tuners could be a little better, but it does stay in tune. The volume knob goes down quick, so that's a matter of preference.
It seems solid, and looks like a Tele, straight up(except the neck's thinner). No complaints with the finish.
This is a beautiful axe that plays better than an American Tele. It sounds just as nice, too. For about a grand less! It's made in USA to boot. I'll definitely buy another if I see one.
