How long have you use it?

What is the particular feature you like best and least?

The tuner is very accurate in standard mode. It seems to me less effective PolyTune mode (you scratch all the strings at the same time and the screen displays the correctness of each), but it's a way a little "gadget" anyway. It can help to limit quickly view if you have a really rope to the street, but it does not go away in my opinion. A small button will also set the tuning used by default (useful if you play drop, for example).

A stupid but is also handy with a tuner pedal format trick: pressing the switch mute on and the guitar is quite useful on stage!

The screen offers good visibility.

Another practical detail: it is possible to supply a second 9V pedal via the PolyTune.


How would you rate the quality / price?

Very good for a robust specific product (it has its importance when the scene is invested by slamment guys with their beer), well finished, super fun to use.

No problem!

buy a few weeks ago on the German site well known. I hesitated with the Boss TU3 which refers in this matter, and I'm not disappointed with my choice. Matter of taste, but I find the display PolyTune nicer, more readable.

for the operation, nothing complicated, one branch is scratched, it gives ... basically.
The guitar and bass PolyTune accept (configurable on the pedal mode), as well as tuning in drop .... in short, there is a consensus as you want.

The special feature of this pedal is to bring in more than one color mode, the "PolyTune". Note that you can scratch your 6 strings at the same time, the pedal recognizes each string and the display shows the height of 6 strings in a single view!
In practice, nothing to do, the pedal does everything alone. The only small criticism I bring the PolyTune, it would lack (a bit) precision in this fashion:
I did the test, after having granted rope rope my guitar (really close milimetre), when I play the six strings, the pedal tells me on two or three strings that the accuracy is not nickel, but a bit above or below the tone. Really not much, but had to find a criticism this, then here is: to quibble a bit, the precision poly tuning is not a 100% on top (and I repeat, very little difference anyway )
Add to this that the intensity of the display is set automatically according to the ambient brightness (practice), nice look, and the sound is muted when you snap (not bad when there is agreement on scene ...) and you must get the tuning!

To note I did not put the 10/10 just because of this very, very slight lack of precision in PolyTune fashion ..... but it really is to look for the little beast

Polyphonic tuner pedal size, equipped with a true bypass.
I use it for 2 years now, and especially repeat concert where you can not afford to go to unplug agree!
The screen is visible. The polyphonic mode (which was a little innovation and encouraged a lot of people to buy on the spot anyway ...) can be useful to see at a glance if you are not well tuned ( although if you use its leaves, you know that we are out of tune ...), but the accuracy is not great I think.
Even in normal mode (single rope), I find it better but nothing more. In comparison my little Korg AW-2G clip and my old Seiko over 10 years of age are more accurate. Yet I plug just after the guitar at the beginning of the chain. At the same time, the system of red and green dots that light + / - next one is very far or not the note is necessarily less accurate than a good hand, even digital, which come one aim sweet spot in the center of the beach ... so Logic.
Question bypass the other hand, RAS. I find that the pedal affects my sound, this is a good point.
Luckily for me I have guitars that take good agreement, so I'm using it more for sure if it is connected ... but often I do not need.
I do not know if I will ever ... Since this choice, a mini version came out, and I read here and there it seems more accurate ... I think if I had to change I will look closely Korg Pitchblack example, which apparently has a very good reputation ...
Not a bad product per se, but not enough successful. Can do better especially when you see that knows how TC (Nova etc ...).

I used it for eight months. I had a Boss TU-3 before but I opted for the Tc PolyTune because it is true bypass. PolyTune mode works very well on a guitar, a little less on a low, there is more opportunity to get a good variety of tunings to set the mode to PolyTune its tuning. An output power supply allows the use of PolyTune to redistribute the power supply current that is connected and a special entrance connects the animal to a computer to load tunings in the pedal from TC electronic site (pedal toneprint ). I was using did not have all these features, I was using the pedal in color mode. Rolls Royce of tuning, we would have liked a screen look a bit beefier and I'm not a fan of the LED display, but ...

The price / quality ratio is good, I opted for the mini because it is true bypass, take up less space on my small board and not lose the characteristics of its big sister that I was using did not.

Basically the Polytune by TC Electronics is different from your standard tuning pedal because it can read all 6 strings at once, instead of having to individually pluck each string to get a readout.

I was excited to finally see these in stores. I have heard about them for awhile. I bought one and it was $100.

The accuracy is great. I feel it is accurate enough to use for a basic intonation setup of your instrument.

It is compact, actually smaller than a Boss sized pedal.

It is true bypass, so when it is off it will not suck any of your tone.

The display can be adjusted to however you can see it best i.e. you can make it brighter or darker.

It is new on the market so I am curious how long it will last. What happens if it breaks? Those sort of annoying questions that I have no answers to. Other than that, the pedal performs flawlessly.

Feels solid. It can definitely take a few good stomps. I haven't christened it with having a drunk kick a beer over on it yet, after that, if I can still read the LED display I will update this to praise the Polytune's glory.

A step in the right direction. Don't be afraid to take a chance on it. A cool, modern and accurate way to tune.

The PolyTune is T.C. Electronics' new tuning pedal. It is a quite innovative pedal as it is the first poly tonal tuning device. If you strum all open strings (in standard tuning it tells you which strings are in and out of tune. It also tunes individual strings chromatically. It is a simple on or off and true by bypass.

There is a lot to talk about here. The polyphonic tuning mode works quite well. If you know your guitar is out of tune, one strum lets you know which string it is so you don't have to go through all six. Murphy's law makes sure that it is always the last one you check. It also recognized if a string is only sightly out of tune. The LED's tell you how far out it is as well. If you play one string at a time, it almost instantaneously switches into single string chromatic mode. The chromatic mode is very accurate and isn't overly finicky. There is a needle mode and spinning mode for the LED's. Players that play in drop tuning, are taken care of because you can adjust the pitch down that it recognizes as standard tuning.

The only negative I found was that the polyphonic mode displayed my low E string as being flat when it wasn't. It was something I quickly adjusted to because it was consistently wrong between several guitars both acoustic and electric. I'm sure TC will get this glitch fixed. Also, it only recognizes standard tuning in polyphonic mode. I think the next step for T.C. is to make the polyphonic mode programmable to custom tunings.

It seems to be built quite well. I didn't have it long enough to test longevity but I imagine it will hold up.

This is a great pedal and when they fix the little glitches, it will be even better. I think it is just as accurate as the BOSS pedal but the polyphonic mode makes it a better pedal. It costs the same as the TU-3 and in my opinion is a much better option.

on the other hand I use several different tuning mode between flat, drop D, open G. .. Hence the PolyTune we forget you have to press a little button on top to switch between modes is not very practical, hello waste of time ...

What is so special that you love the most, least?
I'm not going back on the technical characteristics of the machine but I bought it mainly for the poly function, used on various tunings, (they're not alone I am given half a tone lower!).
This function is, for my part, very useful live: gain time to retune! based on "single string" I find it much more responsive and accurate than the TU-2.
So to summarize:

Bought after reading a comparison in the UK Guitarist.
The mag is very reliable, I have never been disappointed by their recommendations and it is also the case with this pedal.

Tuner transparent, quite efficient, fast, reliable.
Also note, lisibilitee perfect compact and low power consumption on battery (which saving a 9v plug on a pedalboard).

In use, is pressed, the signal is blocked has the tuner, you scratch the 6 strings at once, the receiver reports instantly what strings are detuned and how., There's no longer grant.

The TC Electronic Polytune is something you do not see every day in the world of tuners. It is something different. The Polytune brings a new level of usability to the act of tuning your guitar. With the Polytune you tell the tuner what tuning you are using. It does E standard all the way down to B standard. Once this is setup you can just strum all the open strings at once and it will tell you which string is out of tune. This is great for gigs when you know something is off you can quickly strum all the strings and it will tell you which one is off. Another great feature for gigging is the auto adjusting brightness level. If you are at a dark gig the pedal automatically makes itself brighter so you can easily read what it is saying. You can use a needle tuner or a strobe tuner if you want ultimate accuracy. It has a thing called Monopoly where it can detect if you are playing 1 string or more than 1 string. If you are playing a single string it goes into single string mode and if you are playing more than one string it shows the set of strings. The pedal is true bypass as well so it will not color your tone when it is in your line. You can power it by a battery or a 9v DC connection like most every other pedal and it is super small so it will not take up much room in your pedal board. If you are still using a simple old tuner in your rig you can do yourself a favor and upgrade to the TC Electronic Polytune. It is pretty much a game changer when it comes to tuners. It can do it all and has more features than you can shake a stick at.

I use it recently. I used mostly my tuner multi-purpose.
What I like most is how well sr "PolyTune".

I find the pedals strong, beautiful, efficient in both modes (PolyTune and tuning rope rope). The screen is nice, enjoyable, readable.

PolyTune mode works well for me trs (you scratch all empty strings, and we see the tuning of each). I am surprised that some have had problem with a. The standard mode (I only use the standard tuning) and with a good output level of microphones, absolutely no concern for accuracy.

In my opinion those who have problem should have problems with their guitar (mcaniques or output level of microphones).

I do it again this choice with eyes closed, I find this method really PolyTune INTERESTED trs to agree quickly (which is often my case).
