The bridge / Bigsby licensed vibrato, microphones and simple DeArmond described the serial number on the label are pogne plutt rewarding for those who can not afford to buy a true ...
It holds the tuning properly using the Bigsby (who is not a vibrato because of low amplitude and caters for trmolo), but the hairy bends can CRER surprises.
My G5125 is black, very classy, a little DS prsidentielle. Other colors are more original, trs 50's, but only the top of the box is color. So did a little cheap, I got ...
UTILIZATION
Trs is difficult to speak of comfort and ergonomics trs ... all this is subjective. Plutt accustomed to "solideubody" I did not, however, surprised or gn t the volume of the can (about 7 cm thick) is a guitar tr s welcoming and lightweight. The position of the volume knob and micro slecteur are super practical. In Manir gnrale was the place and we all accde easily is really an instrument trs comfortable.
This applies also for the handle: recess, there is always the best but this is small gretsch trs comfortable and easy to play. The again, it has room to pause his big fingers on the strings rolls without special effort even if we did not used to playing on the big (recommand. The gretsch sonnne always, even if an agreement approximate plate (and I know !)... but it seems to do a lot of kilometers with the fingers.
It sounds great vacuum.
APRS 6 months:
I must correct a bit: I have had another opportunity to play on several hollow-body guitar, and I am forced to recognize that gretsch guitars are so easy to play. Handle of a gibson will be much easier and will forgive much. It is sometimes a little agaant but suddenly, when you a ready-guitar, everything passes the fingers in the nose (and not so easy to play with the fingers .... pfff forgiveness) . Despite a, in the same price range, not a single scratch trying not sound as though this gretsch (the famous "great gretsch sound" what!)
SOUNDS
For sound, it trippant ...
If you like the sound gretsch ... we are really close. While the output level is a little weak, and takes a micro acute short hair, but it can be lgrement remdier just by adding a little compression on the amp. It is the only solution I found to sound a bit better on a mediocre amp trs (nan, I say what it is ..). But hey ... who said compression ...
I also use a TonePort X2 (yeaaah!) On a PC, this is all a bit "cheap" but by taking a little (not bad) on the head config, you come get super sound Honn thy, and the sleepless nights are connected, you lose your taf, your girl and you got to ze bar blues ...
Galemnt I could try it on an amp crazy: a bassman i-know-what-more-anne, and l. .. the big positive surprise. Something crazy. Everyone has hallucinated. Like what, a mchant amp, made immediately the sound as long as you have a scratch that sounds right, and this is the case of this small grestch. With such conditions, the problem of output level and attack disappears instantly. suuuper sound.
However, a gretsch 3 / 4 body remains a gretsch, Coren and fenderise same, and therefore a gretsch sounds and nothing else. It's two balls and two flavors: crunchy or crunch. The DLIR.
The pickups are a simple bob, and I admit not knowing what it REALLY means, but I can assure you that these little DeArmond pickups are perfect for a scraper 800. I plan nanmoins the possibility to replace one day with TV Jones, the story of me pter.
The bridge n'tait rgl not well when I bought the guitar (with strings rotten and no fly box, has said may be the reasonable price of this little bomb). It is not fixed on the body and spent some time finding the correct position. We must be careful, and in a Manir gnrale because this guitar parat dlicate fragile, not like a good old Start that is placed against an amp full ngligement of beer and cigarette ashes. Its lgret adds that sense of fragility. But the use, no probme, has still strong.
The finish is honnte trs. Default only noticed a small drop of varnish dries in a corner but overall, it's a beautiful thing all over.
(For note, I put 9 because I think the real Gretsch-Made in Japan-3000 Euros grav sound 'better, and I have not been compared under the same conditions)

I could compare with Setzer, and it must be that the micro reconnatre TV Jones make a Difference (and the rest also may be ...). I found it equally hard play, but in terms of my level and my practice, and the diffrence in price, the 5125 small enough for me greatly. So I do not change the note.
OVERALL OPINION
In short, this guitar sounds great, just to have the report qualitson-dans-ta-gueule/prix is excellent.
It's been two months that I have and I'm still crazy. So, I play all the time, and it's hell for those around me.
I tried a lot of semi-hollow guitars but I knew ds The beginning I wanted a gretsch, for sound and because I have always loved these guitars that seemed unaffordable. We said then that gretsch Coren, is not the top most Electromatic solid body that have reputable trs bad (justified or not .. I have not tried elsewhere. But ultimately, I'm really happy, it's a good guitar trs, rewarding and comfortable, with a sound crdible trs.
But it's the ERMD: I find myself obliged to provide a light amplifier, because without a means less fun.
Fortunately today, we can work more to earn the same.

APRS 2 years, as in love, eventually enthousiasmedes beginners retomber.Entre time, I offered an LP, with (very) good microphones, and even s it is bone of trying to compare with simple twin, the Grestch suffering terribly from the comparison. Although sr sounds in between LP and a gretsch end diffrent do not see anything ... but it is well aware that the "big" lack of "safe" (me neither do I not know what I meant ...)
However, I'm still a fan of the mouth, that is really a beautiful object, and a good guitar trs. His only default is the performance of microphones that, even if they sound good for a guitar trs of this range, do not stick like a slap on a big guitar sound.
Ditto for the handle, Fidler to CHARACTERISTICS of the brand, but less "soft" and easy prcis on a gretsch Japanese.
I highly recommend you give him a pair of TV Jones. There are 2 MODELS ctes to the original DeArmond. The investment is not standard (230 / 240 Dollars all) and change guaranteed. Apparently this opration is fundamental.
