I was trying out Crate GX212's and saw this amp sitting over in the Marshall pile. I wasn't gonna spend $475.00 on an amp, but after I heard it, I had to have it. The manager at the Guitar center gave it to me for $475.00 out the door.

The amp has a great clean tone, even has it's own gain adjustment for each channel. The overdrive channel works good for my level of playing, and actually makes pretty decent distortion. I don't use a pedal with this amp. You must use a higher volume to get a good gain sound out of it, and it's loud. Really loud. I had it up to 4 the other day, and it was too loud for my apartment.

Nothing really to not like about it. It definitely has a "Marshall" tone to it, so some people might not like it. (definitely play it a closed room where you can turn it up) It might be nice to have a switch on it somewhere to cut the wattage in half, this amp is loud!

Excellent. Ruggedly built, and will probably last forever. Oh yeah, it's heavy, too.

Overall a pretty good amp. Not as good as a Soldano, or Mesa, in the gain department, but for under $500.00, it's worth it. If you go play one, you have to turn it up past 3, you'll really enjoy it.
