Blue Microphones now offers a second, bonus capsule with the purchase of the Bottle Rocket Stage Two tube microphone, in addition to the included B8 capsule.
The Bottle Rocket Stage Two features Blue’s vacuum tube microphone with an interchangeable bayonet-mount capsule system. Effective November 1st the new bundle with an updated MSRP of $2499.99, includes the Bottle Rocket Stage Two and a bonus capsule in addition to the B8 capsule.
The Stage Two uses a single ECC88 vacuum tube and transformerless, Class A tube amplifier circuit. The Bottle Rocket Stage Two is part of Blue’s Interchangeable Capsule Series, which also includes the Bottle mic and the Bottle Rocket Stage one, solid state microphone.
This series integrates Blue’s Class A circuitry with Blue stand-alone system of interchangeable capsules. Like the Bottle, the Stage Two has the ability to swap up to nine different capsules. Blue’s system of interchangeable capsules—The Bottle Caps— is designed to offer the recordist a different tonal characteristic and pickup pattern.
