The Boomerang is the most second version of the boomerang phrase sampler.
- It's a sampler (sampler) that can record two different sentences.
- Different sampling rates are possible, which store a total of some 1m to 4 minutes in draft quality.
- The rank can be used as a delay, with an exceptional
- The rank has a feature that lets you play the wrong line. It sets the minimum length of sentences, we play and it plays them back in reverse. It takes time to think about the sentences in reverse while calculating the harmony, but on simple things, the effect is great.
It's obviously digital converters are correct or good.
Editing is done with the help of buttons at the base, very convenient. This is not a model but a pedal rack quite large and very robust. The all-steel solid and well finished.

On paper, the features may seem low compared to other samplers: only 2 loops, nothing is kept in memory to the extinction of the bike, no connection noon. MUST THINK THAT AS AN INSTRUMENT BECANE. When you tidy up your guitar and your solo is not remembered.

The big advantage is the registration on the fly 2 laps. Live, you save A, Jammes above you when you pass the loop B: if you've registered before, he plays, if it is empty, it starts recording what you play and returns to 1 Direct. For listeners, it's transparent and you do not stop playing. It is the only sampler I tried and that makes it (so easy in all cases).

What is missing: an undo for the last addition. If you stack 4 layers and the fifth is bad, you should all re-recorded. Bommerang promised that this feature would be present on Row 3.
A loop would be more enjoyable. And finally the opportunity to play the loop A and B at the same time would be a plus. Not necessarily easy to code since that is what Boomerang blocks to get out the boomerang 3!

[edit] No noon but a system for chaining different Boomerang pedal. They could do so through a system really noon? And it is not rack, but clearly saw the need to press the pedal [/ edit]

No MIDI, no undo and no play simultaneous two loops => note 8.

UTILIZATION

The setup is very simple. The manual is well explained, well written, with a little humor. There is a French version on Audiofanzine. The functions are programmed with the feet, which is convenient for guitarists. Everything is fairly intuitive, and really practice. Good thinking, we see that the guys are musicians, and probably guitarists.
THE RACE IS AT THE FOOT OF BOOTONS ALMOST NIL = SUPER PRECISION. Finite loops that do not buckle completely, the accuracy is top, not a stroke patient as the pedals or roland digitch (well, we made it, but this is really more subtle and more accessible).
Delay or reverse the functions are easily accessible.
I see no weakness.
Most: a big wheel at the foot adjusts the output level, ultra-convenient.

I'm using it to fasten voices scratching, making the bass guitar, and to add voice overcoat (onctre-song and / or beat box). If it goes through a mixing desk before the entry is nikel.

Super easy, foot roller for level => score of 9

SOUND QUALITY

I read a lot about the quality of the converters. In fact, it's a bike pretty versatile, so be aware adjust input levels. I felt that the sound became rough after one or two loops, in fact it must be specific about the level of entry. For now the most appropriate setting for me: in the effects loop of my amp. it allows me to have the distortion of my amp and have an adjustable level correctly. So the quality seems very good converters.
After, beyond 3 or 4 layers, it becomes rough, not necessarily because of the bike, but because the frequencies are mixed a bit. 4 guitarist in a band, it's ugly too.
The reverse lead is funny, but for now I do not control more than that.
The possibility of playing a loop an octave (or a second a third a fifth) below me is to work on solos or to make a bass line. We must be able to use it for testing alignments, but I have not dug.
In addition to the quality of the loops, super nice surprise is the effect of rendering as Delay. As you can set the time of termination of the loop (how many times the loop is repeated before tapering silence) you can adjust the repeat delay, and with the foot you set the speed (= tap tempo delay) .

I do not know what to blame level sound quality. You must set the input level, but that's normal.

OVERALL OPINION

"I have this bike for just one week, so my opinion will be updated as and use.

"I have tried the jam-man and RC20XL before. But the inability to record a loop A and a B without interrupting the game was unacceptable. The fact that there is a button at the foot function by making the animal much easier to use. Basically, the less gas plant which keeps 10,000 loops in memory and more instrument oriented Zique live.

- Value for money: hard to say because it is not distributed in France. We must therefore negotiate the price with Mike Nelson. The email is on their site. That said, I think we can find it for a little over 300 €. For me the quality rapprot price is very good. To compare the jamman example, do not look at price alone jamman, but the price of most of jamman optional footswitch. And there, the boomerang is still better.

I waited a year before buying. In fact, I was hoping they would get out before the Boomerang III. Well I do not regret it. The pb: I think I love her too much and that I will not be sold before buying the 3!

This review will be enthusiastic to moderate use, but this past week, I play constantly on and nothing wrong.
