Decidedly, spend more than € 3,000 for not better finish the sub-brand Epiphone (I'm not exaggerating, I have an Epi LPC 2008 recently to have fun with the violin), there is cause to regret his decision. The "Custom Shop" Gibson actually sounds like a commercial argument, youtube videos show a factory mass production and gigantic workshops ... We are far from the image "artisanal" we would like to make us swallow. The price / quality ratio is one of the most Aberant I saw .. (the seller was also too dismayed, but before the request of a fan of Adam Jones, you have to work).
I like Gibson, but Gibson in his greatness. Gibson and visibly in recent years are often the image of the LPC CS ... Gibson made good guitars, but you have to get several years back ... a member of AF often said "the price is forgotten, the quality remains "... wait a few years to see the head of Gibson 2000s ...

So of course, is equipped with two humbuckers Gibson 498T and 490R, its old Tune o matic bridge and its 4 knobs (volume and tonality for each pickup).
The body is mahogany, and that's for sure, this wood is not the most lgers. Thus the instrument weighs 4.8 kgs so his (roughly the equivalent of a low), but you get used to very quickly, and that's including the Dtail that offers Les Paul Custom all their heat in sonorits ... but we'll get.

    USE

To the question "Is the handle for a pleasant stratophile or tlphage Fender?", We can, I think, respond by ngative. For a very fast follower sleeves Ibanez, this is not the panacea. It's all a matter of habit.
For attention, I did not say either that Gibson was making only good innings bcherons play punk rhythms. Indeed, the handle me right away sembl very pleasant in the bass, mdiums, and treble. I was yet accustomed to playing on an Ibanez John Petrucci handle 24 cases, and all that stuff ... and the handle of the Les Paul seemed even more enjoyable (I protects me jets stone, but this is only my opinion)!
This is a guitar and renames easy to see why: the game, as rhythmic solos, is very pleasant.

    SONORITS

I use it to play jazz, blues, rock, funk, and many other styles. This is my guitar of reference. I think it excels in all styles, both clean sounds that saturs.
The neck pickup gives us its clear sound very dry, and its saturated powerful sound very rich in harmonics, the middle position gives us a clear sound perfect combination of the two single coils of neck and bridge pickups and the neck pickup is ideal for jazz and blues. Let us add that the sustain is incredibly long and that each sound is a veritable dlice the listening (when your amp is rgl of course).
I brought out in the clear on my SR Technology Jam 150 (which I also use for my banjo, psaltery, and my electroacoustic guitar), and will provide me with a bientt Vox Tonelab LE to exploit saturs sounds and effects. I played before on a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe.

    NOTICE GLOBAL

I possde this guitar (which is precisely this qi is the same picture on the description of the model) since 2006 and I still fall in love every time I take it out of its tui and I play ... well, I combl. In addition, this guitar is of extraordinary beauty (especially when you love dgrads sunburst and fittings sleep).
Only BMOL, Gibson does not really know how in the low-cost or discount. When we want a Les Paul in quality (who is a Custom), and that is fed up with Epiphone model, we must break the bank and 1800-2000 to find the luxury of poss der a Les Paul Custom built in those years l. I'm not talking about antrieurs models, including 70 years, which have become vritables collection instruments.
That said, the Les Paul has its own personality that does not suit everyone. Aisni, it is better to try and be sr of his choice before acqurir.

    - What type of race?
Hose-like rounded which is well in hand

    USE

    - Is the handle enjoyable?
Question subjective .... personally I'm more comfortable on the handle on a flat handle typ Ibanez. Once rgl action is very low and without frieze.

    - The access to acute (desti- nations most recently freight) is it easy?
Is clearly not an ergonomic guitar on this map. But ... I personally played some solos between the 20th and 22nd in the box so I mad.

    - Ergonomics is it good (in terms of shape, weight ...)?
The guitar is heavy (4.6kg) but with a good strap passes, even during long RPTES or concerts.

    SONORITS

    - Appropriate your style of music?
I play mostly rock so it fits perfectly. Whether its clear or on saturated it provides!

    - With what (s) amplifier (s) or effect (s) do you play?
Laney VC30 + Blackstar HT Dual

    NOTICE GLOBAL

    - How long have you use it?
I use it for 6 months.

    - What is the particular feature you like best and least?
I like the particulirement sonorits and aesthetics of the guitar.
I like less weight and ergonomics compar a Start, but it is a sacrifice to make if you like the sound.

    - Have you tried many other models before acqurir?
Oh yes ... I had two Gibson LP Standard + Japanese (Tokai, Bacchus, OBG ...)

    - How do you report qualitprix?
Clearly bad new. As used against it is rather good.

    - With the exprience, you do again this choice ...?
    Oh yes, it's perfect.

    ************************************************** *********
Regarding the advice I've read below:

    - Those who complain about the finish: a guitar to try before you buy. When we can put more than 2000 in a guitar one is more 50 train ... Indeed some guitars are poorly finished, but at the Custom Shop (> 2004) is rather rare.

    - Dissolves varnish guitar .... and everything is cast: why did you buy, you'd lose money? With the varnish, it is actually soft, marks quickly, but the nitro lacquer allows you to leave the wood to breathe (unlike plastic coatings that form an opaque shell around the guitar).

    - Those who say c'tait better before ... I have a lot of custom test before taking mine and he has very bad models in all periods. It must arrter with gnralits in this genre and TRY!

    OVERALL OPINION

Since 2006, I have others and I tried a lot.
I bought this guitar in 1984 that we stole it that I notice a model of 1978, and since I played on other guitars and I finally make up my mind I ordered a to Paris and I waited almost 6 months to get it and I am very disappointed, because the problem of "microphonic" kept me up sound and I ended up going to a luthier and then spend 80 € varnished which is poorly done besides every 3 years must go through the box maker to correct the handle and I wonder if we did not sell me a Chinese version at the importer Gibson Pigalle (I even the certificate that comes with it). this is a guitar that I like and it sounds pretty nice to play whatever the handle a little big for my taste (1950).
Brief view of the problems I will never buy a new guibson if I want vraiement it will be one of 70 see 80.
How would you rate the quality / price? Too bad

With experience, you do again this choice? absolutely not

Accessories: Gibson Custom Shop case black (Made in Canada)
    Original strings Gibson tie 010046

    UTILIZATION

A Les Paul "classic" as it has "flaws", if true, well known in terms of ergonomics game: heavyweight, no cutting of the body with a stop at the back that you mark the coast access difficult to acute after the 15th to 17th case, an imbalance (moderate) to the lower body (straplocks recommended), maybe a toggle switch located less than a Stratocaster when you want to instantly switch from a microphone to a other ... The varnish-beautiful-is rather weak (sensitive to scratches etc..) And appears "sticky" or rather an indefinable sensation not necessarily pleasant at first touch (when you sweat a little etc..). All this is clear enough when we played so far on Fender Stratocaster ... and then little by little to tame the beast, for it is really this: you get used to it (fits?) ... The handle patina and touch is excellent and it is really nice, very comfortable. The weight is a bit forgotten (except perhaps if you play long standing? A very good belt as the Gibson Modern Vintage and guitar seems to have lost two pounds, and more!) ... And visual and sonic character does the rest: what a sound!

    SOUNDS

What a sound! What sustain! Both pickups are typed, various complementary. One begins to finally-use volume and tone of the guitar to build his own sound. Beautiful clean tones, round, a pickup more powerful, sharp and with a clean soul snapping a middle position as it should ... with little equipment, but if possible, good quality, perfect guitar for blues, rock, heavy-blues/heavy-rock that I love, but ultimately versatile enough to play a little all styles (except perhaps classical and heavy metal instrumental shredders ...).
My amp: Hughes & Kettner TubeMeister TM18H with baffle TM112C (simplicity, and the rest of the guitar is a good set!). Additional Effects: Suhr Riot distortion for more "modern", TC Electronic Hall Of Fame (reverb) and Boss CE-5 Chorus Ensemble (+ wah Fulltone). With all (just) that: simple-including volume and tone of the Custom-to an already great range of interesting sounds settings.
I love all the sounds of my Les Paul!

    OVERALL OPINION

I use it for eight months, and learning my guitar, week after week, makes me love him a little more each day! The defects erase the pleasure felt by playing and listening to the sound it provides. Its warm, delicate vintage without being ridiculous in modern records, preferred to that of a '57 and a '58 Goldtop YOUR tested in parallel. Forgotten my old Ibanez JS100! As for my American Deluxe Stratocaster: I still love its beautiful clear sound and comfort, but I naturally put to play Hendrix and the Red Hot Chili Peppers on my Les Paul ... it is a sign that never fails! I love everything about this guitar, even the button Richlite *: after the disappointment of not having a good old noble wood fibers, I find it rather elegant (dark color, very close to the wood) and comfort really extra (over the material will probably be better in time for the wood). A little too fast here wear gold finish where the left hand is placed in most cases, but good brands will wear it a vintage charm, recalling that she was born in 1954 and accompanied the whole story rock, and still accompanied by beautiful way today.
More classic, typical, Les Paul Standard today; excellent despite significantly lower than signatures and other prestige lines price is a choice I do it again, finally with a good quality / price / performance, with a little history (Gibson, the Rock) that was in the hands ...

Access to acute is not great for my taste .. I prefer by far the stratabound ... much easier to use.
Other fault ... the handle varnish after a few songs live becomes unplayable due to the sweating. The hand grip and it becomes very uncomfortable to play ... no more fun for me.

    SOUNDS

Sound side, as mentioned above, no complaints ... big sound very fat and well defined even if slightly mushy ... it sounds good rock or hard rock. That said it is also capable of enquiller blues or any other style.
Aside his lens .. you pass ... there is no way to have a decent clean sound ... well always comparing with a strat for example.
I use a Bogner Ecstasy 101B amp which is a reference for those who know this amp ... with the rock sounds were at the party! again, for clean sounds, I changed guitar ...

    OVERALL OPINION

I played less than a year ... because after playing many different guitars and high quality, I have not had fun. I prefer by far my EVH Wolfgang (U.S.) or my Charvel Custom Shop and are far easier to play and sound clear as well (even better for what is one of my Charvel Legacy).
So I bought this guitar because it was a myth and I wanted to have one, but frankly, except the sound was good, the rest ... blah ... very heavy, a pickaxe handle, a handle uncomfortable as varnish, lacquer which marked easily on the body ... well no ... frankly, I do not do it again this choice despite the high production quality .. it can not remove them. But it stops there!
PS / it seems that there are 50 'thinner and easier to play such sleeves ... to test.

Plugged into a tube amp, you immediately recognize the sound of the Gibson Les Paul Custom ...

    UTILIZATION

    The neck is super nice.
Easy access to acute and sublime.

    SOUNDS

You can play everything with: Hard rock, funk, jazz, metal, but it may also be preferable to have active pickups ...

I love all the sounds as well pickup, neck pickup or mix of both.

    OVERALL OPINION

I always handle is always the same, the sound too. Probably due to some scratches waistband and other buttons.
This was my second guitar after Aria Pro 2. I've had a Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster which is different but also excellent. By the same.

Although today it may be worth 3000 euros (I do not know) I think this guitar has nothing to do with the other great guitars Fender, Ibanez etc ...

Without hesitation I would do this choice.

    Usual characteristics of a LP.
Regarding the specific model, it is white with black triple binding, the hardware is gold, the microphones are 490R and 498T humbuckers ... and the oysters are large rectangles.

With regard to natural wear: beige varnish turns fast enough, the golden leaves room for the rigging of the silver chafing ... it slips nicely with the game Question of view, but I find more and more beautiful.

This is very subjective, but for me it is simply aesthetically perfect, this is THE guitar! And it is largely for this "aura" we chose this guitar.

This is very subjective, but for me it is simply aesthetically perfect, this is THE guitar! And it is largely for this "aura" we chose this guitar.

    UTILIZATION

Gibson Les Paul, it's been! So I'll just remember the aspects that must be overcome to tame the myth:

This is a guitar heavy, we feel that it has been on the back :)
The patent (beautiful!) Glue a little at the rear of the handle.
The angles are not saving the right forearm.
Access to acute (from the 15th fret) is complicated.

This is really not a guitar "comfortable", or a bear, or play!
And installation of ... straplocks is simply indispensable as the size of attachments is ridiculous.

But right before his meme talk, we forgive him these details immediately as we feel that the object is held between the hands is not a simple guitar ... It's hard to describe, it was love at first sight or not :)

I had heard of problems holding agreement certe, but after a very légé shot at the lime of Sol nut it has been exemplary.

    SOUNDS

I'll avoid the pile of superlatives .... But p .... n! this sound, this sound .... this is beautiful: ')

    For a brief description:
The microphone is particularly acute flattering saturated, there is a real grain perfect for all styles of Rock. Volume 10, tone 10 is Gibson's big!
The microphone is more suitable for serious cleans sound is round, it is soft while maintaining a true presence. Here the tone control makes sense, it is very clean.

Overall, it was a fat and rich. To imagine the weaknesses, the sound is not enough for slamming funk, and not accurate enough for metal.

    OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 3 years, and I'm never bored. Difficult to crack for another guitar after this one.

I was on a Ibanez JS100 forward, easy to play relaxed. And honestly, the week that followed the purchase of the Gibson made me doubt as the difference in comfort was huge. But after this adaptation time, hard to go back ... What a pleasure to play, what sound sensations!
Another black spot, I was not far from discomfort when completing the check ... I still have cold sweats.

But hey, this is THE LEGEND, it deserved: a little muscular shoulders, is forgetting rash on the forearm, we eat potatoes for a few months, and a serious Gymnastics hands for access to Acute ... and it is finally adopted.

Being reasonable, there is necessarily better or cheaper ... being reasonable. But how regret purchasing this kind of jewelry: D!

Gibson Les Paul - Great guitar period!

    UTILIZATION

I have to say that newer Gibsons get a bad rap from many guys I know. Maybe with the new fret boards I can see that but this thing is a great playing and extremely well made guitar with the old wood. I have another custom shop Les Paul and it definitely gives it a run for the money. Very good attention to detail compared to some I see sitting in some of the chain music stores for sure.

    SOUNDS

The guitar plays perfectly but I will say this, I hate stock Gibson pick ups. Maybe for some styles of music, these are sufficient but for hard rock or metal, I definately needed something hotter than the stock pick ups provide. I swapped them out for a MotorCity Detroiter in the bridge and an Suhr Aldrich in the neck and holy moly this thing rips! I like the fact that it is significantly lighter than my other Les Paul but does not lose any of the great sustain and tone I can get from it with exactly the same pick up configuration.

    OVERALL OPINION

Love everything about the look and feel. For the price I got it for, it was absolutely perfect and worth the money. I would never pay the $3,999 price tag that usually comes with these as no guitar is worth that kind of money. Being that I got it for a fair price, I will say it was well worth it. Having played many Les Pauls in the past, this is right up there with the best of them so in my own mind I put to rest the bad things that are said about newer Gibson products. As I said before, the pick ups weren't my thing so I swapped them out and now the thing is near perfect. In my case, I would easily recommend this guitar to anyone looking for a solid axe to play.

This is a perfect guitar. For anyone that likes the Les Paul style, this is the bee's knees, the cream of the crop, the top banana. Nothing sounds, feels, looks, or plays quite like it. From year to year, there are little quirks, little tiny idiosyncrasies that one can look for, but for the most part, this is a guitar that has remained unchanged in design since the late 1950s. The neck plays like pure, silky butter.

    SOUNDS

Singing, smooth, sensuous sustain meets biting, bold, bright bombast. This guitar can play anything well, from rock, metal, jazz, reggae, ska, country... There are 3 basic tones out of this, as well as variety of variations with the tone pot, volume knob blending, etc, but this guitar can literally sound great in any style of music. I've played this guitar in all manner of setups, in Marshalls, Fenders, Mesas, Bogners, digital amps, solid state, through all kinds of pedals, and no matter what, this guitar's perfect tone soars through.

    OVERALL OPINION

This guitar is the classiest solidbody guitar ever made, period. I don't think it's possible to compete in the solidbody realm in terms of sheer elegance mixed with simplistic design - this is a perfect guitar. Anyone that hasn't tried one out yet is committing a grave personal offense to themselves!

    Norlin era version

Gibson Les Paul CustomPublished on 10/24/11 at 15:05
During the Norlin era, they made some of my favorite Les Pauls. However, they also made some of the worst ones as well. This particular guitar actually has what is known as the "pancake" body, and it's a huge step back in tone, in my opinion. The guitar features a mahogany body with a maple top, a mahogany neck with an ebony fretboard, 22 frets, trapezoid inlays, binding, a TOM style bridge, two humbuckers, two volumes, two tones and a three way switch.

    UTILIZATION

This guitar was heavy; pig heavy. It had like 11 pieces of wood all glued together or something. I couldn't believe how many pieces of wood they threw on this guitar. It was, no joke, in the 12+ lb range, and it ju…

    UTILIZATION

This guitar was heavy; pig heavy. It had like 11 pieces of wood all glued together or something. I couldn't believe how many pieces of wood they threw on this guitar. It was, no joke, in the 12+ lb range, and it just killed my back to play this thing. That's the biggest issue with these pancake body guitars. There are some good ones out there that, despite looking kind of ugly, have a great tone. However, there are ones like these that just can't sound good no matter what you do. It's like a boat anchor. The fretwork on this was average, and considering it wasn't played much, there wasn't a ton of fretwear. The nut needed to be recut, but that's a pretty minor issue considering the rest of the guitar.

    SOUNDS

The guitar didn't resonate like a normal Les Paul normally does. For those that don't know, a heavier guitar is not necessarily a better guitar. I find that the lighter ones tend to be a bit more resonant, and it's the lighter ones that tend to be the best in terms of overall tone. These super heavy ones seem to have a very dull tone that doesn't sparkle like the lighter ones do. This particular guitar had the Gibson Dirty Fingers in the bridge but the stock pickup in the neck. The Dirty Fingers is ridiculously high output, and it has tons of sustain, but it seemed to be hampered in this guitar. The neck pickup was too bright for me, and I found myself turning down the tone knob when I was playing leads or cleans.

    OVERALL OPINION

Some of these guitars are awesome, but this is an example of one of the bad ones that left the factory around this time. This is also an example as to why people tend to not like the Norlin era guitars. They were very inconsistent, but considering how inconsistent Gibson is today, I guess it's not as much of a shock anymore... If you buy used, be sure to be ready to flip it for that "just in case" moment.

    SOUNDS

    - It is trs fits all types of rock, pop and blues. Despite his trs typ it amne also in the registry that are less specially (eg funk).

    - I played on the Cyber Twin and faster to use a clean sound on the mic as the acute RESOLUTION is too rich in high frequencies. As against the other positions have a lot of sound and personality lend themselves perfectly to effect the most DLIR.

    - In terms of distorted sounds, we are dealing with a box of course. The crunch is subtle distortions and deeper still a Flying V. The inconvinience is the lack of diversity sounds available despite two tone.

    OVERALL OPINION

The big diffrence tration with standard wood species better quality and a premium finish. With regard to this dernire, we must Whereas its fragility is chronic and is enough quality plutt average which is a shame for an instrument of this class. The advantage is to have the mcaniques "deluxe" oil bath which limits somewhat the problem of keeping the tuning specific to Les Paul in gnral.

A final advantage of me but does not everybody is that it is an instrument that accepts string tie quite important, thereby increasing the thickness of the sound. I recommend other users to Les Paul not to go up unless the 10/52.

DEFINITIONS In the purchase of a custom is only justified if you do not pay the bill: o), as seen even when the price is a bit much. Otherwise I like it my Les Paul but not as much as my Flying is clear. Ya big sound in this guitar but watch what you want to do because if it is a great second guitar, as a single instrument can be quickly locked in a kind of sound forcment not adapted styles zyk o we need more shades (I think pop in particular).

The guitar features a mahogany body with a maple top, mahogany neck with an ebony fretboard, 22 frets, trapezoid inlays, pickguard, binding, hard tail bridge, two humbuckers, two volumes, two tones and a three way switch.

    UTILIZATION

The guitar had some nice inlay and binding work. There were no fillers anywhere, and you could see that they took their time with it. The nut on this was cut properly, and that's a fairly rare thing to see from Gibson. I normally find their nuts to be roughly cut and need some extra work once they get to the shop. The frets on this were good, and I was able to get some nice and low action without much of an issue. There was some slight choking out on certain frets, but it wasn't a big deal given how low I had the action. The rest of the guitar is pretty much your standard Les Paul but with an ebony fingerboard instead of the standard rosewood one.

    SOUNDS

The guitar had EMGs swapped into it. It had the EMG 81 in the bridge and the EMG 60A in the neck. The 81 was great for metal, and it worked super well with this guitar. It could do In Flames to a T, and that was something that I was real happy with. Boost a 5150 and plug this guitar in -- instant Bjorn tone. However, it lacked the versatility that you'd normally get from a stock Custom due to these pickups. The neck was a 60A, and it worked great for cleans. It's a bit fatter than the normal 60, and I find it has a little more character for lead tones as well. It has an almost single coil tone to it at times, but it's somewhat beefy thanks to the natural construction of the guitar.

    OVERALL OPINION

These are some of my favorite Gibsons due to the extra bite they tend to have. Gibsons can be a bit too thick at times, and the ebony board really helps keep that in check. It may seem like a small piece of wood, but I always felt it has a big impact on tone. I'm not normally a big fan of ebony as a tone wood, but it works quite well on these guitars. Maybe I'm just too used to how Customs sound to hear the harshness that I hear in other guitars.

    Slightly different lower horn

Gibson Les Paul CustomPublished on 10/06/11 at 15:17
This was a guitar made in the 80s, and they started to change things up a bit. While they were built in Nashville, small things like the lower horn and whatnot were changed. UTILIZATION

The guitar had some wear on it, but it was nothing too bad. I actually find these 80s guitars to be pretty cool, although there are some things about them that are not 100% standard Les Paul. The lower horn is what sticks out the most. If you've ever seen an ESP Eclipse model that comes over here to the US, you'll notice they have a pointer lower horn. These guitars have the same. It's just something a bit different. They also have a slightly different serial number. The headstock is also different on these, so not everyone likes them. I believe these were the predecessors to the well known Heritage company that is now up and running.

    SOUNDS

These have special PAFs in them generally known as Shaw PAFs. They're pretty sweet PAF pickups, and they work great for rock. The bridge is like your normal PAF, but it has a little bit more sweetness to it. I plugged this through the JCM800 we have, boosted it, and I got an amazing Slash tone going on. The neck was also pretty cool. I got a very sweet blues tone in the neck with this guitar. However, if it were my personal guitar, I'd probably replace them. If you do replace them, you might want to keep the pickups for a bit as they can be a bit hard to find. If you decide to sell them, you might be able to get some good money for them on the used market depending on how the economy is going.

    OVERALL OPINION

While these guitars are a bit different from what you normally see, I find that they're pretty much all your standard Les Paul. It may look just a hair different, but it still has that classic sound that everyone knows and loves. The guitar was also weight relieved, so it didn't have that back breaking issue like the 70s one tended to have. They can be hard to find on the used market, but you can generally get a good deal once you find one as purists tend to not like these.

    Huge tone in this

Gibson Les Paul CustomPublished on 10/05/11 at 16:50
This is one of the newer Customs, and you'll get some varying opinions as to whether these are good or not. I personally tend to prefer these guitars over a lot of the other eras as they tend to be a bit more consistent, but they still don't hold a candle to the old maple neck mid 70s models out there. The guitar features a mahogany body with a maple top, mahogany neck with an ebony fretboard, 22 frets, trapezoid inlays, pickguard, binding, hard tail bridge, two humbuckers, two volumes, two tones and a three way switch.

    UTILIZATION

These models are put together very well. The first thing you notice is that the finish itself was pretty much flawless. I couldn't find any drips or any issues where the binding meets the paint. The nut itself was cut perfectly, so there were no tuning problems to worry about. The frets on this were nicely leveled, and I was able to get some nice action going. The ends were also not sharp, so it didn't hurt your hand every time you went up and down the neck.

    SOUNDS

I wasn't a huge fan of the stock pickups in this thing. Then again, I'm not the biggest fan of Gibson pickups to begin with. The bridge was powerful, but it lacked what I usually look for in a bridge pickup. I like the pickup to be clear and tight, but it seemed to be voiced more towards the vintage side of things. The neck sounded decent, but I'd like it to be more powerful and smoother sounding. I'm a sucker for those ultra smooth guitar tones for leads, but that's probably because I use them as a bit of a crutch for lead playing.

    OVERALL OPINION

If you search long enough, you can find a good deal on these. However, you'll want to be vary wary of fakes. Ebay is flooded with fakes made overseas, and if you don't know any better, you could be suckered into buying a guitar that sounds like crap and plays even worse. If you're going to buy used, which I recommend you do, be sure to check out the different forums that regularly sell Gibsons and other higher end guitars. You'll be less likely to be burned that way, although you're still taking a bit of a risk when you do that.

The use is very simple: all the way into the Marshall.

    SOUNDS

The sound is BIG trs trs with incredible sustain and harmonics fuzzent. For clean sounds it can play with the two volume buttons for the attnuer distorsse.
I plug the beast is a 2 marshall body is in a rivera Chubster 40, and in two cases I have SOUND.
In the velvety blues of the grave is a pure micro merveille.La intermdiaire position with two microphones is also interesting for arpges rhythms or "funky".
The 1977 has a brighter sound and less fat than the 1991 + which it sounds with fat sustain incroyable.Il Note that often two supposedly identical guitars do not sound like ever.

    OVERALL OPINION

The custom has Premire t my "real" guitar, even though now I use it a little less than before (strato forces) that is my eyes + nice guitar in the world.
His biggest default is above its weight, and a lesser extent the Access in acute but its qualities are such that we quickly forget his dfauts.UNE GUITAR LEGENDARY unfortunately far too ch re like me, but if you find a flea market for a 1991 Custom 3500 F (no no you're not dreaming are many francs) Buy.

    Correction
In fact my Les Paul that I thought of 1991 is 1970, it is now repainted in its original color "cherry sunburst", this guitar is a killer in the SON and niveaud LOOK.C is today the guitar that I uses it most, it is so Submitted group that it is the job of two guitars.

Mahogany-profile "Rounded": it is not rev quickly, the varnish has not yet done so, you have to play a ... APRS and will get better. Nice thick, me coming out of Fender Start has changed! But it is far from being the largest in the Gibson Les Paul Reissue of sleeves 60, 59, 58, 57 and 56 are much worse (further down in the year, bigger is .. . Imagine the round of the '56 ...) In fact, someone told me on another forum: round of the '60 reissue Les Paul Custom Shop '50 = profile for non-custom Gibson shop.

    Plaque-black plastic
    Electronics:

Pickups 490R and 498T-, standard configuration at gibson, same damage, microphones with a little more cachet might have be ... ts better I do not know the other models in the Gibson so good ... We will say that it's going but these pickups are mounted on the SG Standard half the price ... I dnigre not the economy but it smells a bit the not?
    -2 Volume, 2 tone, 3-way switch
    In résumé:

Everything is trs classic, made more than 60 years as it has, there is no reason that a change!
Everything works well trs, the guitar is a RULES original perfection, a frieze does not, fine.
My only complaint for the strap-locks: I looked over prs in the store and I said, "but what's that-M ****? ? " No, no and no if you want to take the guitar on the foot is perfect (and 4kilos and 500 grams of bte, I can tell you that you will feel it!) They are small, and trs round, not really for it to properly hold a strap: strap-investing in locks mandatory, unless you play in your room which case it's good. I have all virtual and I put Schaller: The Dunlop, cki parat ... better. But never seen or test so ... Schaller Vive!

I opened the guitar, no complaints about the welds or The elements of electronics, it's beautiful, it's clean and smells good work.

9 because of the varnish of the handle and straps.

    UTILIZATION

The use is somewhat ... Or specially plutt ... Dlicate.

    Several complaints:

A-LP is small but it's big too ... We see the petty cash of Les Paul, any and all mimi but when it was in the arms, it seems Olala standard! The weight does not help it's heavy, it feels the guitar man (yes a man with a big "H")
-The Access in acute .... mythical ahhh! Body-neck junction is making the 16ME box, it is not to grab the ais 22me. Anyway, Jimmy Page, Zakk Wylde, Slash, uh, has had too much air to GNER ... Well then it is faster, unless you leave a Washburn N4 guitar is one of the best Submitted Access in acute march ... L ... Jpeux do anything for you.
-Last point: Beware of unintended switchage prs for those who scratch the handle (I am) it needs to be done. It is the opposite of the stratum: stratum need to be careful not play a prs of the bridge and the opposite ... Good is not it nothing is being done.

Standing the balance of the guitar is what makes a good little mention his weight, but with APRS 1:30 RPET, I am relieved to return to the Start! Prvoyez the muscle! I'm kind of plutt puppy so it can be explained (1m75 to 65kgs)
Small dtail some Gnant: the lack of muzzle (like a Start) to facilitate the positioning and playing the right hand.
Sitting is better, you no longer feel its weight, it leaves very easy to play but the lack of muzzle is more upright feel. It is immediately less enjoyable without it.

In résumé: dpart in the game was not very easy for me it's going much better now. I'm used to these "default" that are not really ... It's just a matter of habit.

    SOUNDS

So the my children ... When I play the BPS, everyone is in communion in front of me and my amp! What sound! Or should I say, what sounds!

    His Clair:

Has ever seen ... A Fender Gibson that sounds almost, you think you? Well I tell you, it exists and I want proof! It is not as versatile sr, as versatile, but we approach it a lot with a surplus of potatoes: it's really not dgueu.
Round neck pickup, a true velvety apricot nectar we drink up in vomit so good! It is a little down the volume and tonality was a jazz sound, a real jazz sound ... Volume and Tone bluesy background is hope! Perfect also for the notes arpges dtachent much from each other even in complex agreements.

Bridge Pickup, ca claque, ca crunch by attacking the strings like a nag, but there are ways to have a real clear sound without much gain or lower the volume while the output level is more than her boyfriend lev 490R. Country, funk, blues, rock and roll ...

Position Intermdiare, SPECIFICATIONS, I use it only slightly trs is a little shuffled the two but it seems that despite ale that a lower output level, the neck pickup takes over ... The sound is affected and it is therefore closer to what I have to handle Describes what I said about the bridge pickup ... The round with a straightforward attack somehow ...

    Saturax:

    The Claque!
It's hot, it screams, it's really excellent, the ultimate weapon for blues, rock and hard. Metal, Heavy, Goth and other extrmits, change the pickups, ca does not agree probably pass as a certain level of gain, not as ca prcis, the sound becomes too fat and lack of precision is obvious. I personally perfectly fits me!
Sound falling backwards, of which linear potentiomtres rpondent the hair ... Need I say more? It's potato and heat throughout.

    OVERALL OPINION

She and I did 1 month.

My 1st guitar trs high-end, it's really not dgueu.
When we got there can not do without! But before it reaches a proportion fMeasure into the head of some ca is not the best skyscraper in the world. This is an excellent guitar, possdant of default and it is necessary to tempra. On lead guitar, while dpend your style, if you only have this guitar, you can quickly go around in circles ... use with other guitars so.

For one thing against sre: the Les Paul is a myth, a myth that is paid, trs expensive (even a bit too) but when you love ...

    UTILIZATION

Well, the handle is really comfortable ... no way ... it hangs a lot, I knew better on a standard 90's.
access to acute is good, but not whopping passes without too much problem (all scratch to us any day we want to buy a guitar riffs over chained them without much problem then .. (Clapton, Page, Beck , Richards), ergonomics is against nickel to my liking. perfect form, heavy weight, but not bad (well I like those who think it's going to n'on heavy ibanez ...).. . ... a timeless classic

To the question "do you get a good sound easy?" be answered: have you one good performance with a ferrari?

    SOUNDS

And here is the chapter for which you buy a gibson (custom or else for that matter ..).
One can quibble about the time that Gibson's classic climbs couple 490R/498T present on half of its cataloque a rape that want the Premium (would not that the price ..) but just the connected and all is forgotten!
we're not added to the sound, this guitar sounds plugged into anything!
cube of 30, Marshall MG30, peavey 5150, Orange Rockerverb 50, jtm30 marshall, the sound is very good at worst (MG30), the most sublime (orange Rockerverb)!
As for wondering what the sound of the Les Paul, and many listen "Beggars Banquet" of stones, "too much too soon" for Dolls, etc. ..
Just know that you can play everything on the rapier, the cushy country to the heaviest metal with ease and without multi digital effects and other thing supposed to improve your sound.
for short here are some tests done with my JTM 30:
    - 490R + channel clear his jazzy, not a disorder (such confidential gainsbourg)
    - 498T + channel clear: country, blues, folk ... (the integral of Creedence Clearwater Revival)
    - Boost 490R + channel / gain at noon: rock seventies (Electric Warrior T Rex)
    - 498T + Boost channel / gain at noon: hard rock and roll (Led Zep, Guns, AC / DC ..)
    - 498T + boost / gain was 10: Hard & Heavy (Metallica, The Stooges Fun House, etc. ..)

Wholesale merchants and other distortion overdrive not sell their stuff to those who can not buy a Les Paul Custom is so unfair ..

to be objective about the rating I would say 15 out of 10 ... and I am serious .....

    OVERALL OPINION

This guitar belongs to the other guitarist in my band, buy new two years ago, and it is often true output to heat lamps to warm an amp in flight case, I have been able to measure How fast this beautiful skyscrapers that tarnished the cosmetic point of view. damage seen the selling price ...

mechanically against nothing wrong, the knobs do not spit yet, the mechanics are good tuning, the pickups howl as always, short on that side, that of happiness.

So here, on the one hand you have a piece of rock history, a sound entered the collective unconscious, the master of rock standard fat, short, a legend ... the other a scratch after all, not so well done that (I'm not talking about the quality of wood ...), but the rest of the defects that can not forgive an epiphone Chinese (like the hardware that this pic .. hmm .. re . info for my Riviera made in Korea which has yet the same age has no impairment of the 10th and gibson is no better maintained.) varnish that some defended by saying that it must maintain, blah blah .. and and
HEY! it is not a rock'n'roll guitar museum piece to showcase (quoique. ..).
